Glad I didn’t try and take two though, as today it is chucking it down ☔️☔️☔️ which my garden will love, and will be a good test of how the shade sail we put up recently will cope with water. It’s been great in lockdown and meant even I can go on our southeast facing garden to eat lunch on the patio, though we do have to sit right against the house, and kept the dining room much cooler for the dogs.
Sorry, I digress.
I was up and out with Merlin early yesterday, and we ran our usual Sunday morning loop to a local beauty spot, we only saw two other people - one of them an Irish guy who currently walks our route (in reverse) every day at roughly the same time.
We had a great run, with only one walk after running up one particular field without pausing (luckily no pheasant in the bushes today 😂). On Strava it’s a segment called something like ‘The Beast Path’ it’s one of those inclines that starts gently then really kicks up at the end!
I’ve also been using this route to get braver about letting us run downhill faster, and I think it’s working, though time will tell.
When I got home, husband was still asleep, so I put Merlin in, and went straight out to walk Taylor.
Photos were taken on our walk, and were my scavenger hunt entry for one of my Canicross groups. Last week’s word was TRAILS - so Thank you, Road, Apple blossom (I think) I-360, Lilac, Seagull.
This week’s word is BEACH, so you might get those next Monday.
