It started with a run 😀

Good morning, oh it’s my day off and our colds ran away.

Watched Rocket man the other night and thought to myself let’s have some Elton music today.

Set up playlist, chose another 20 minute run in NRC and off we went, walked round the park, admired the trees, checked out where the little dogs were, got jumped up by a brown poodle on a long lead, friendly little thing but the poor man had to keep running round and round us to keep the lead from tripping us all up, smiled and went on our way.

Started Garmin, started NRC but no talking, asked Willow if he had talking, probably very loudly because I had accidentally squeezed the side of my phone and I now had John Lennon blaring in my ears, Willow shouted back yeas and suggested I stop and start again, which I did and there was Coach Bennett, ha, John quietened down and Coach shouted at me so i managed to turn the volume down and ran.....

Running easy pace is a good habit to have, not getting out of breath while running is awesome, we’ve learned to start slow enough to not get puffed out and ease into the run.

The sun is shining, the sky beautiful blue, Willow’s knee was a bit stiff so he hobbled at first but it eased and he ran well,

The park was getting progressively busier as it’s such a lovely day but our comfortable 20 minute run was soon over and home without exhausting ourselves with the rest of the day to enjoy.

It’s so lovely to be running in shorts and sleeveless tee shirts again, we are definitely warm weather runners 🏃‍♀️

Happy day to all

I hadn’t noticed there was a cloud in the sky when we arrived at the park this morning

Sounds wonderful...to be running in shorts and a short sleeved tee shirt. Yesterday I was running in a long sleeved 'layer' and a waterproof, no gloves - big mistake - it was freezing. We have just been discussing the fact that Spring is nearly over and it's still so cold 🥶😫

Enjoy those Southern warm temperatures while you can 😉

Thank you, we’ve had much better weather than expected this week, but rain is on its way and we probably need it, I run quite hot so even in the winter after a little while off comes my jacket It’s not been bad this spring but colder than expected

Sounds great W&S !! I always put a hot water bottle on my stiff knee before I run; just 15 minutes and then massage the knee cap. Really frees it up! 🙂

Ha Sola there is ONE small cloud in that lovely photo, not a rain cloud, well done on that 20 minute run you ran this morning in that park, I am glad that you like running in shorts and T shirt 👚

We didn’t even realise the cloud was there until we looked at the photo and there it was perfectly centred and framed by blue. Thanks Al

Ah what a lovely picture! And an upbeat post. So glad you had an enjoyable run. I keep meaning to check out Rocket Man, maybe I’ll do that this evening. Enjoy the rest of your day. 😊👏🏼👍.

It’s quite sad in places but felt more real than Bohemian Rhapsody although I enjoyed both films I think I may want to see Rocket Man again someday, mind you not until Yellow Brick Road has got out of my head, I keep singing bits of it 😂

Love the picture 👍

Sounds like you had a good run !And I couldn't agree more , running without getting out of breathe is amazing !

I was actually thinking the same yesterday on my 10K.

Well done 😁👍

What a lovely day you’ve had on your day off weather wise and your run. Send some sunshine up here. We’ve had a bit of everything including sleet and hail. Definitely not T-shirt’s and shorts weather here. Enjoy the rest of your night😊

Lovely photo with that cute small fluffy cloud and a brilliant blue sky.Sounds like you are loving those 20 minute runs and yes it's awesome not to finish your run breathless - I love that!

I have a picture in my head of your legs being wrapped up tighter and tighter by a manic poodle running round and round in ever decreasing circles 😁🐩

It was quite sweet but so funny, the lead didn’t get tight but we were all going round in little circles with this man running round us trying to catch up with his dog
