Best laid plans and a run around the rec

My day off today so came home all happy yesterday had a lovely evening then…. 10.20 phone starts ringing… no night staff, can you sleep in and I’ll work the night?….. Willow went mad, I’ve done so many extras lately.

So bed after 1am up before 6am, I had left a voicemail for my boss to come in early so I could go home at 7am… hmm her phone was charging in the office so…. she was very apologetic, home 10am….

Went to our park opened car doors eeeww sewage plant stinks, went to a nearby rec, just as getting out the car the glazier text well be there to measure window for cat flap in 40 mins, ran round rec it’s only just over half a k so ran round again, got home 2 minutes after them

The run, boy running all on grass is slower and harder and not what we are used to, but the rec wasn’t too busy and it made a change, could hear distant train, birds singing, there were a few dogs playing, smell of sea air as even closer than we are, all in all, once again we got out

Came home discussing breakfast, it’s noon now, no bread so made some and once it’s risen and cooked I’m having something with bread,

Happy running all and if anyone wants a job we are desperate for night staff 😂 😂 😂

Goodness me…no wonder Willow went mad! Mr. L would be cross when I got asked to do extra on calls or cover a hospital shift…don’t miss that at all! 😂

…and isn’t that always the way that you eventually get out, then you get an unexpected call! I hope they waited that 2 minutes 🙄

…and finally out there running! I’m not used to running on grass, I find it hard too! Hope that bread was lush after!

Willow is the most relaxed kind person who never gets cross but he was mad when i got the call last night, trouble is i’m last resort so they had tried everyone else first, we are so short of staff they if one doesn’t turn up it’s a mad scramble to cover, the bread was delicious thanks and the run wasn’t brilliant but it was a run
