Well! It’s so hot and too hot to run for long and i find myself on a late shift today so didn’t want to wear myself out but do want to run. 10 minutes how about 10 minutes i asked Willow. There was some gentle muttering about didn’t we run yesterday? um well yes but we can run 10 minutes it’s only 10 minutes 😂
Off we go, our usual track round the park, walking briskly once round which is about 5 minutes. We’re off!!! ooo legs and arms ache a bit from all that time in the sea yesterday, but it’s only 10 minutes, anyone can run 10 minutes a day.
There were rather a lot of people and dogs in the park, all spread across the track, chatting and enjoying being out, so instead of keep running on the grass round them we turned and went the other way and turned again, every time we passed a minute I held some fingers up, to let Willow know how much longer we have to run, now making a plan first might have made a difference because Willow says he can’t multi task so running, glancing at his watch and seeing my fingers go up was just too much, 8 minutes in he went for the sprint finish and stopped at 9 oh well, anyone can run for 9 minutes it seems, I carried on fora minute and we went to a shop, I’m sleeping in at work tonight and seem to have lost my sheet. It was amazingly cool in the shop.
Home stretch glass of water and relax….
We are going to stick with 10 minutes a day for a while. It’s better than nothing
I think the GPS got confused too but it shows some red bits and oh garmin loves me and I’m back to being almost blue v02max
Have a great day all

I’m working later and will be late to bed so it’s enough and i’m hoping we can keep it up daily for a while
I’ve stopped running until the heatwave is over, but I do walk in the evening when it’s a bit cooler. Last night was only 2k but for the first 500m it’s uphill, and in Wales we have HILLS!! My Garmin recorded I walked up 52 metres in the first 500m. And so it went, up & down, up & down, andin the end I was as hot as if I’d run for 30 mins!!
It’s currently 19 outside here but i think it’s in the hundreds in this sleeping in room, we’ve agreed to another quick run after work tomorrow then straight to beach to swim and cool off, the shower can wait til we get home, I love this weather and would love not to have to work but a swim in the sea 3 out of 4 days isn’t bad and it’s due to break soonEnjoy your early morning walks
