As usual grey Swansea day but I brightened it up waving and smiling at everyone I passed ( dancing too at one stage to Banarama ) as I ran from St. Helens Rugby ground along the front to Mumbles then back to famous Patti Pavillion. So lovely to be home. Cheeky 10k and a great time but it is pretty flat π. Best run in a long time. Took it slow at last when I started and I even think I may have done negative splits. Faster on way back then going down and still felt great at finish ( says she for the first time ever!!!)
Happy Sunday everyone. And Happy running. Off for a Joes ice cream later. Best ice cream in the worldπ¦ π¨ π

I must admit I am not convinced I understand the splits. Made me laugh the other day when I realised fartleks are not fartlegs π. Bit boggling at times. I think I am just going to stick to ... Run and Have fun.
Yes, you must have ice-cream, youβre at the sea side! Well done on a feel good run. I said βmorningβ to all the walkers I passed today. A lot of the time because I was coming up behind them and didnβt want to take them by surprise. I have to admit I didnβt dance for any of them though π
Bit of rancing is quite funny. I do the arms best. God knows what I must look. But it makes me happy. There were some lovely people out today and some real grumps too. π
Great job on your cheeky 10K Wimborne! Mustβve been really nice running all along the beachfront there. Looks like a cracking beach! Hope you enjoyed that well earned ice cream π¨ πβ‘οΈ
Oh really well thank you Wimborne, the running is going brilliantly, I ran my first 10 mile run last weekend (16K) and have also been working on more of the speed training which Iβm seeing some good results from now too. Iβve had lots going on over the last couple of weeks and I just havenβt had a chance to post, but Iβm going to try and get another update done soon - thanks for asking! ...Glad to see youβre cracking out those Sunday 10Kβs
TS thatβs great news. 16k is some distance. Your plan is working out so well. Have a great week and look forward to your update soon.... happy running.
Many is the time I walked (staggered?) home along the bay when I was a student at Swansea. Back in the pre Jurassic era π. I can almost hear the clinking of the boats' rigging. Great photo, great run, you earned your Joe's!
Ah thank you π. The bay is gorgeous but the Gower beaches are simply even more breathtaking. I think everyone should dance more often as they run... itβs good for the soul. I must admit Swansea runners are quite glum βΉοΈ. Hopefully my fabulously happy disposition rubbed off on them. And you are most welcome to join me anytime in a virtual dance π π
