10k bling alert!🙂🏃🏽‍♀️🏅

Lovely local 10k event this morning - both me and my husband had a great time in the West Sussex countryside running along the country lanes and paths! Fantastically well organised and friendly event. The course was great, a little up and down in places but nothing too challenging. Lots of local residents popped out to cheer everyone on! Marshalls were fantastic. Over the finish line for my lovely bling🏅, goody bag, water and banana. Enjoyed a hot dog and ice cream in the sun on the village green afterwards. We will definately be back for this one next year, despite the small challenge of getting out of the field set aside for parking! One poor car hit a rut in the mud and damaged their fuel pipe (I think?). They had to be carted away by the AA and fire engine on site! A new route out of the field for the rest of us with the marshalls giving directions over a loud hailer - "second gear and keep your pace up! Go, go!". Hilarious! Back home - chip time of 1:03:01, which I am pleased with, considering the challenges I have had at times with my running over the last year. Very happy me!😀 Hope everyone has enjoyed their running this weekend.🙂

My brother isn’t too far from you...Burgess Hill. He did the Hayward’s Heath 10 Mile last weekend.... nearly killed him with heat and hills 😱
