First 10K race - Ditton Dash 🏃🏼‍♀️🏃🏼‍♀️🏃🏼‍♀️

Rather hot morning for it, but fortunately had an early (8am) start time. This is very much my local race as it was only a 3 minute walk to the start from my hone now, and the race looped around all my old stomping grounds where I grew up as a child. As it was so warm I was aiming for anything under 1hr so was thrilled with my time. I finished about halfway down the pack but had a pretty good age percentage so am delighted with that!

There were free sports massages on offer so took advantage and had a great rub down afterwards. I wouldn’t say I enjoyed the run whilst running, but am feeling great about it now 😊.

I have no plans to run further or faster so will just try and keep it up! Happy Sunday run day all!

Yes I’m happy enough and definitely too old to try and speed up. I only have one gear ⚙️ 😂
