I just wanted to say a huge THANK YOU to @Irish-John, @Charlies1, and @RunaroundSue for their brilliant work in devising, developing and researching the virtual COGH run. It really has been a beacon of light during these dark pandemic days: motivation to get out there and run (walk) AND some fascinating armchair travelling to distract from the gloomy headlines.

I know that my highlight was definitely Siberia - cold weather running and un-touched wilderness really fired up my enthusiasm. Those images of ice running across Lake Baikal help to keep me cool during this humid running weather!

So what were your highlights??

Happy running ( and dreaming) everyone πŸƒπŸΌβ€β™€οΈπŸ€—

Siberia is the place that sticks most in my mind. First of all we’d just started running, then it seemed to go on for ever and was so bleak. The interesting facts and travel blogs our organisers dug up were fascinating - I will never forget the guy who made sculptures out of cow dung. How desperate is that (although he looked happy enough).I think I’m going to have to turn to Conqueror events (LEJOG) to keep my motivation up.

Hear hear!

What I loved was that all those who joined C25k during the pandemic really bought into this, and got fully involved. I hope that it won’t be long belong they are able to run parkrun or real races with real people.

Thanks to all the organisers. Definitely gave me a purpose to go out in all weathers. From Zimbabwe to Cape Town was a pleasant trip down memory lane for me.
