Woke up after a ridiculously long sleep (over 9 hours, unheard of for me usually), I looked out of the window to fairly blue skies and NO RAIN at last. Quick coffee and time to come to and I was out, back in my beloved local parks.
I only intended 6 or 7k today, but as I was taking it nice and slow, it felt soooo good, so I carried on to 10k. Singing all the way, especially when Shout to the Top by the Style Council came on my playlist! Luckily few folk about...
Truly felt a joy to be alive and running today.
Hope you all have happy runs this weekend. β€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈ

It was! Especially after my dark, early morning urban runs this week - they were quite perfunctory and dull. I have been longing for the woods and some daylight! π
Lovely run Sadie. So nice to run, not knowing how long it will be and just enjoying the moment. That goose looks like it was taking notice of you, even if everyone else was tucked in bed.
Aw, thanks Dexy. It was a βlisten to my bodyβ run. When I set out I had no idea I would be good for 10k! Just had a hot bath and feel lovely now. God I love running! Goose: probably just wondering which was his best side. π xxx
Thank you darling Jan. π I shall enjoy a good loll on the couch this afternoon. xxx
Hey Sadie, what a lovely way to start a Saturday!! Well done on your 10k, thatβs another one in the bag, right? I did the same yesterday, just kept going to 10k, for OCD reasons.
Your park route also looks beautiful, must raise the spirits, and set you up for the day. Iβm quite jealous, the weather is looking like rain again up here.
Iβm really proud of you and what youβve achieved, and love that we spur each other on.
Thanks buddy. π My spirits are well and truly raised! I run in two parks (lucky me). The two pictures on the right are the wilder, bigger park with woodland and fields, the two in the left are from the smaller manicured park, with a big lake in the centre that I run around. I do big park first, then run through the town centre to get to the lake park. Such a lovely route, and has some inclines, so good and challenging. Big park was very muddy today!
Yes, I was only just thinking today how we have stuck with other through thick and thin, all the way from C25K up to 10k and beyond. Lovely. π
Thanks dear Sask. π I may live in a big city, but I know where all the wild, green spots are. π Barely saw a soul this morning. Mr Goose and a few dog walkers and runners, and thatβs all. x
Yes, I have had my fair share of βmehβ runs, so this was definitely well deserved! Thank you my lovely. xxx
Beautiful images Sadie, I love the light in the top left photo, absolutely perfect. I can completely see why it felt like a joy to be alive and running for you today, so good you carried on for the 10 ...and the goose was just a bonus! Love a bit of Paul Weller πβ€οΈπ― I havenβt tried singing and running yet π€β‘οΈ
Thanks dear TS! The good thing about running for an hour in the early morning is that you get to see the light change, and sometimes itβs really pretty. Singing and running? Well, the singing comes out a bit panty/gaspy but it is fun. π x
