This has been the worst day..obviously my fault for drinking last night but I'm suffering like crazy...keep going hot then cold and my heart feels like it's going to stop.

Would really appreciate some reassuring words :(

I am exactly the same with a hangover.............. drink is well known for increasing anxiety........... it is a stimulant and makes your heart beat faster and all the other awful things that go with it.......... my friends who do not suffer with anxiety still feel like this the next day, so as you can imagine we suffer a lot after the evil drink........

Just chill........... it will calm down once it has passed through your system,,,,,, make sure you drink lots of water and make sure you eat.... you will be suffering with deydration too and this will accentuate the symptoms...

You'll be fine........... honest...............

try reading a book to make your mind off the symptoms and relax a little............ then you'll relax and drift off to sleep.............xx

I know that feeling Ash, it will pass, bless ya. I don't drink now because of it, but that's no consolation to you right now..it used to make me feel low...I promise it will pass, big hugs xx

I third the drinking of water. Enough that it feels like you've drank your weight in the stuff. :)

You can't hydrate a hangover enough. I used to get horrendous hangovers even pre panic attacks. I think one of my first "baby" panic attacks was when I had a hangover on my way home on the bus (the morning after; don't ask :P ) when I was about 19. That was fun. Didn't realise what was happening at the time though. I just don't drink alcohol anymore, it's not worth it.

You'll be fine though Ashley. It'll work itself out of your system. This is just the side effects of it. They're god awful, I know, but you'll be fine. Honestly.

Is there something you could watch or listen to that'll occupy your mind and make you feel a bit calmer? Something that might soothe your mind a bit? x
