Hi im on citaroplan for 6 weeks so far and keep getting headaches in the same place which which last for days
Headaches r a very common side effect of ssri's including citolopram but should ware of after a wk or 2 at most, u need 2 go bck 2 drs. i 2 suffer frm migrains on a daily basis but hav a sinus infection, chest infection (suspected pnumonia) + a stomache ulcer as well as extreme levels of anxiety. think the stomach ulcer is causin my migrains + its redicolous gettin them on a daily basis, i know how downtrodden this can make u feel + like i said u need 2 go 2 drs as u shld still not b sufferin like this. hope u get this sorted soon. kindest regards leeanne.x

No i dont normally get neck pain but will try thanks x hsve been referred to neurologist but unsure if its related to citorplan
Hi. The headache is a side effect of citalopram. Have it changed with another medicine. There are many more in that same class of antidepressant. Best of luck. Francis, depressionnewscentral.com

After having my citralopram increased from 10mg to 20mg, I started to get headaches.
I mentioned this to my family and after speaking to them I went back to my GP who has cut the citralopram dose back to 10mg. I no longer get the headaches like i did when i was on the 20mg tablets.
Headaches is one of the side effects of citralopram.

Hi Siananne, I was on citalopram 10mg for a month before moving up to 20mg,I had headaches for weeks after starting on the 10mg and thought they would never end! stick in there,they do work evenually.

Hi iv just started on citalopram last week iv been getting headaches too,also today ad a panic attack in the house,still having palps now

I have been on citalopram for 2 months now and yes I have the same sort of headaches that you are referring to. It is tension in the neck but try to get a massage on your neck and shoulders it really does help the headaches will go.
