I have been told recently that I have heart disease and a-bib. I don't understand since I have been diagnosed with this I have gone into depression and am having a lot of anxiety. They have put me on medication and I am doing better. I was wondering if anyone else is dealing with anything like this?

I just don't understand!
I'm so sorry to hear about your diagnosis. I think that would certainly trigger depression and anxiety. Its scary to learn you have heart disease. But I'm glad the medication they gave you is helping.
Do you also take meds for your heart?
Stay strong and keep healthy habits to help you fight this. I hope you're feeling okay.

Yes I am on a lot of medicines and I have been doing better. I hope that I will be able to get off some of the meds. At present I am on 22 pills a day some 1 time a day some 2 times a day and then some 3 times a day. At present I feel like my day revolves around taking pills. I guess I should not complain since I have been able to stay out of the hospital. Thanks for replying to my problems.
I don't know what heart disease you're suffering from but I have a heart valve problem and my anxiety got a lot worse when they told me it looked worse and I needed more tests. After the tests (which were 7 months later) the most important question I asked was 'is is life threatening'? The answer for me is no and they know how to treat it. For me that stopped the anxiety about it (although I still have anxiety issues as I have done for 12 years) because I knew I was no more likely to drop dead than any one else.
I have Googled and cannot, for the life of me, find out what 'a-bib' is... Could you maybe explain (if you wish to) a little more about what your heart problem is about? SO many different kinds of heart problems can be addressed very well by your doctors and easily helped with meds and sometimes a change of routine. So good luck to you, Susan!
Sorry for the mess up I really wanted to put a-fib. They are wanting to do an ablation on the outer and inner of my heart. It is so very scary and I am trying to take it one day at a time. At present time I am walking 2 miles every day or doing yoga too. I am trying to make changes, also eating a heart healthy diet. I am trying to do the best I can. Thanks for your reply.
It is called a-fib. I guess I was going too fast and didn't catch the mistake.
Oh my goodness, Susan, its all ok.... If I would have had my thinking cap on I probably could have figured that one out myself! Its sounds like you are doing really good and everything that you can that is 'good' for you, so am proud of you!! I am wondering if your dr has taken the time to fully explain to you about that procedure and how it will help you?? That might make you feel better. Anyway, please keep us posted and take good care of yourself. We are all behind you!
Read up on Dr. Caldwell Esselstyn's protocol for reversing heart disease. I heard you can even contact him and he will respond. dresselstyn.com/
