Fear of eating.

A couple of months ago I went to dinner with friends and ate far too much. I never really over eat, but this curry was AMAZING! The next day I was still full up, and it felt like something was growing on my liver. This lead me to become very anxious and tense for about a week. I had convinced myself that I had a tumour, and now every time I eat I'm paranoid that I will get that feeling again, so I tend to just pick at food, and not eat proper meals. Tonight I had a big plate full of pasta, it was so yummy, but now my tummy feels full, and I can't stop tensing the right side of my abdomen. I also keep compulsively prodding my abdomen, so now it hurts. I'm also finding it hard to breath properly.

Please don't be scared of foods and you do not have tumour in liver because if you do, you won't be eating, very sick, losing weight and etc! It's your anxiety that make you think like that. Try soup with bread and fruit afterward to build up your appetite. Once you done it and treat yourself a chocolate for doing it well! Xx

Well don,t waste your time....because once I had a rather rough time at school, felt sick, could not eat breakfast and convinced myself that I had appendicitis.....I spend days on the couch prodding my right side looking for pain, doctor called , proded and poked and found nothing.....i just knew it was appendicitis...i knew...knew.

Today, many many years since school (trust me) I still have not had the damn thing out.......WHY......because there is nothing wrong with it..........what I did have was

A-N-X-I-E-T-Y....................

Good to know your are not alone....................best wishes

Bless you , I think it sounds like you ate to much ! lol thats how the stomach feels when we put to much in , bet alot are feeling this way after Xmas !

I am sure ther will be nothing wrong what so ever , why not have a word with your GP , I am sure she will say you are fine & then you can go back to enjoying your food , they do say "little & often " is best even though its hard to resist something we really like

Nip this in the bud before it gets out of hand

I think its fear & anxiety like most of us get on here !
