Hey, not having a good day today. I've been on Escitalopram for about a week and it has increased my anxiety to the point where I have had to go sick from work today, yet again. It was the last thing in the world I wanted but I know that as my body gets more used to the medication things will be much better (storm before the calm ?). I know things will be better in the long run.
As I'm having a down day it would be encouraging and great to hear of any small victories over anxiety you guys are having today ?

Hi There, sorry you don't feel too good today : / Can I ask you what the difference is between Citalopram and Escitalopram? or are they both the same? My victory today is getting up! lol and having done some housework and had lunch. So far sweetie so good : ) x
Hi. GAD. So sorry to hear you are not feeling so good. It's the old 'yo yo' effect. Up one day and down the next. Two rungs up and one down but always upward. Small victories are as good as big ones because it means you are still moving forward. Antidepressants take time to 'click in', around two weeks. You will feel better as they give you time to think more clearly.
Going off sick will give you a much needed rest, and do not feel bad about that, we all need a break at times. Much better than driving yourself on with gritted teeth! Hope you feel better soon. Best wishes. jonathan.
Sorry to hear ur having a bad day. Hope u feel at least abit better tomorrow. I remember wen I first started taking mine (flouxatine) I felt abit better then about 3 wks of feeling like I was getting better. I felt worse then Eva but within a wk I started picking up x
The e medication has only the left compound in and the c one had a left and a right so it depends what u need if u need both sides of the brain to be completely changed or one side and the e is stronger
