Kaaayla, coming down off any long time medication should be directed by

a physician. I came off benzos years ago, slowly and safely. Please don't

do this on your own dear. :) xx

I hear you dear...Your psychiatrist will guide you to a safe weaning

as mine did. I was on one small dose of benzos once a day but for

30 years. The weaning was slow but the goal was met. My best

to you always. :) xx

I'd just add that the slower the better. I came off after 3 years and took about 4 months to come off. Didn't have any side effects.

talk to your doc. They can give you smaller doses as time goes on so it’s not as much of a shock. My old psychiatrist said it should take 90 days at least.

I have probably weaned off over 20 antidepressants, along with other things. The key is to go SLOWLY and let your body adjust to the new dose. Don’t make any big jumps to get it over with. (The hardest antidepressant to get off of, for me, was Effexor. ) I definitely recommend that you talk to your doctor. But I’ve even gone slower than what my doctor has recommended. Only you know how your body is feeling. You can 100% do this. Good luck!

Look up Dr. Josef Witt-Derring on Youtube he has good advice but of course it isn't a substitute for your Docs advice but it might provide you something to talk to them about.
