Hi there. I was a frequent user here a year or so ago and luckily I managed to get a grip of my health anxiety for a while but it’s back with a vengeance. I noticed yesterday very slight swelling in my right foot. It’s not sore or red or warm to touch and it’s only around my foot it’s doesn’t spread anywhere. Around 2 months ago I had the same thing but it vanished. I asked friends and family and they basically told me to move more and it could be fluid build up. I’ve been pretty stressed recently I moved from Aberdeen to Edinburgh due to finding out my long term partner was having an affair for a very long time and during a period of my life where I had open surgery to remove a giant cyst from my ovary. I’m not registered with a dr yet here in Edinburgh but I’m freaking about this slight swelling in my foot. Just before Christmas too ☹️ I feel like ontop of everything my days going to be ruined because it’s all I can think about 😭
sorry for such a long post and thank you for any responses xxx

Agora I have missed you! I’m so glad you some how found me again. U always made me feel better. I’ve checked for any other symptoms and there’s nothing my close family really do think it’s a bit fluid retention as it’s not majorly swollen or sore. No redness, no heat! Trying to cut down on salt now and keep my leg raised above. My mum also has a machine you can put your feet on that vibrates to help circulation which I’m going to try today. I really hope you are well & have some nice plans for Christmas xx
Hope you had a lovely festive few days! My foot and ankle has gone down slightly but still a little swelling. Again my family and a few friends don’t think it’s urgent or needs to be seen as of yet. I’ve cut down salt massively in my diet and have avoided fatty foods. Lots of fresh fruit and grains. My biggest fear is that it could be a blood clot or something to do with my heart
get it checked out....could be fluid retention....could be something else....Like a Deep Vein Thrombosis....which can show as swelling in the feet....(Deep Vein Thrombosis is basically a blood clot that forms in your veins..which can be a terrible thing if they get away from the leg and move elsewhere....like agora said there are always avenues.....just gotta get them taken care of..
