heart
Hi Kaaayla dear. When I was under immense stress years ago, this would happen to
me as well. I remember that feeling of my heart stopping and then a big thud as it
went into a beat again. Since we aren't doctors, I would suggest you seeing or talking
to your doctor regarding these irregular beats. Have this addressed as to what the
cause is. Like I said, mine was anxiety related. Since this just started recently for you,
always get your doctor's opinion first. We're here for you Kaaayla xx
I have been doctors all week about chest pains they said it’s probs Costochondritis. I had to ring ambulance tonight because last couple days my heart is beating irregular but they done ecg was no signs of heart attack but she said she could feel it jumping about the place when she was feeling my pulse and wen I stand up from sitting down my heart rate jumps goes fast , I think I’m having ectopic beats myself my own opinion and it’s making me feeel like I my hearts not beating right!!
I will tell you Kaaayla, that I too was once diagnosed with Costochondritis. Since I
know what that pain is like when I get it, I no longer worry about it and it goes away
in a short time. I know that feeling of irregular beats which can prompt anxiety to
get full blown. Going to the doctor and the ER hopefully satisfied you some. Whatever
you are experiencing is distressing I know. However they say you are not experiencing
a heart attack. If this continues, keep after your doctor and see if there is a medication
he could give you to quiet down those irregular beats. Once you no longer feel them
you will no longer fear them. Out of sight, out of mind.
Also remember that dehydration can cause irregular heart beats because the blood
is a little thicker while trying to circulate, causing these weird sensations.
Kaaayla, you know I've always cared. I will be signing off for the night but know that
you are in good hands with this community. xx
I’m back from hospital now didn’t really say a lot just said my gp has to chase up my cardiologist! I just feel like something ain’t right tho still I’m just getting out of breath so quick feel like I can’t breathe properly and my hearts is irregular!! It’s driving me insanse I really think I’m dying. All they did at hospital was take blood test to see if I was having a heart attack that was negative but he said he listened to my heart n was ok I just dunno what’s going on my brain won’t stop!!
Kaaayla, I can only relate to my own experiences with my heart. Fear begets fear.
Once we are in that chronic state, we don't breathe properly. We tend to hold our
breath trying to protect our heart but actually making it worse because we need
that oxygen. I can't count how many times I went to the Cardiologist during my
cardiophobia stage. The answer for me was to put me into an aerobic water
exercise program. When we focus on our heart, we tend to baby it too much.
The heart is a muscle, it needs to work to keep us alive. Let us know what the
cardiologist says. I will support you because I've been there and understand. xx
Glad u got tests and they came back good. Hang in there. Sometimes it gets worse physically from the scary thoughts and then the cycle just takes off. It’s awful and terrifying. Just try to do deep breathing and maybe re direct your thoughts when u start worrying about the symptoms. Just recognize them and try to do something simple. Naming things around you, or spelling things you see around you. Helps slow down the mind a bit with the worry. Prayers up.
