Hi Saz, when we are in a state of fear and stress, our muscles react to that feeling

by tightening up even more. Your head and neck can take on the feeling of violin

or guitar strings being stretched and tighten too much. With an instrument,

eventually the string will pop. With our human body, the tenseness may feel

as if our head were going to start shaking. This also happens when we hold

our hands in a tight fist from stress and eventually the hands start shaking.

However, since you have been on your medication for a good length of time,

I would advise you to set up an appt with your doctor to see if meds play any

part of this. If not, then have that feeling addressed to see if there's a physical

cause for this sensation. My best to you :) xx

Hi there

Unfortunately I don't have any quick fixes to suggest.

The only way to overcome chronic anxiety of any description is to allow those scary thoughts about your health to come and be a spectator to it all. By their very nature [you have anxiety so your brain conjures up anxious thoughts] those thoughts are designed to scare you.

If you place belief in them and worry about them, you are pouring more fuel on the anxiety fire which creates more of those troublesome thoughts.

I had health anxiety but it doesn't really matter what type of anxiety you have. It is very good at picking on any perceived weaknesses in your physche, magnifying them all out of proportion so that they feel like a huge problem that must be addressed [nothing needs addressing].

Using medical terms, my health anxiety morphed into relationship anxiety then generalised anxiety but it is all the same thing!

To save repeating myself, look up an earlier post of mine about how to overcome anxious thoughts by disengaging with them and learning to let them go. By not doing anything about the thoughts, you cut off the fuel supply and they simply fade away.

Best wishes ❤️
