Take it easy relax your mind your mind is so busy this morning huh,

Lay on your bed and do some breathing ok

Breathing through your nose slowly for a count of 4 and then hold for a second and breath out through your mouth slowly for a count of 6 and repeat it for ten mins you will then calm down I promise you .

As your doing it imagine your laying on a lovely beech it's nice and warm the suns shineing and theirs a gentle breeze and you can hear the waves gently hitting the shore, I mean really really convince yourself you are their and do the breathing.

Do it on and off for about ten mins at a time ten on ten off until you fall asleep and you will fall asleep and you will have a lovely dream ok.

Just do it trust me it will work I promise you.

Hey there... I'm hoping you were able to calm down a bit and sleep... I know anxiety attacks are so scary when they are happening. I had them often when I was a teenager, and then went a long time without having them at all until recently. And I sure didn't miss them! Let us know how you're doing today! Here if you need to talk!

They really are frightening and I was in such a bad place last night.... I was thankfully able to calm down and get at least 5 hours of sleep. I really need to get a hold of this cause it's ruining my life. Do you have anything that helps you?

Several suggestions: see your doctor; there are meds. that might help. Check into cognitive behaviour therapy for panic. Look for support groups for people with panic disorder. Do calm breathing, listen to calming music and affirmations for reducing panic; do calming visualizations, repeat to yourself that you are okay and it's just anxiety and it will pass; make sure you are eating well and getting some exercise; avoid negative and stressful news and movies; take your time when you are doing something - go slow; reduce the stress in your life. Avoid getting hungry and over-tired. Drink lots of water. Focus on the here and now. Hope some of these suggestions will help.

What are everyone's thoughts on using xanax to help your anxiety?? My doctor has prescribed it and I'm scared cause I hear it becomes addictive

Try and relax. Breathe deep. I know when I get this way I'll cuddle something like a stuffed animal or a pillow it seems to calm me down well. You will be fine nothings happening to you.
