I did a 30 day event monitor after the echo which was ok and always normal EKGs. Any tips much appreciated. I have even stopped working out at much as they are starting to trigger panic attacks.

Hi. Have you tried taking magnesium. I had skipping heartbeat for years off and on. Sometimes they would last for weeks. I started taking magnesium and darn near stopped the missed beats. I’ve been dealing with extreme anxiety and panic attacks for 30 years and magnesium has helped a lot.

I have not tried magnesium. Are you supplementing over getting it through your diet?

Good morning King Chris I have the same problem with the skipped heartbeats or pounding heartbeat definitely all from anxiety dealing with a psychiatrist now has been helping me and a psychologist. Also, I tried to put it in the back of my mind and forget about it but it is hard, especially when it comes to a panic attack. I try to do deep breathing, which I feel as good or, I also do the app and listen to Dr. Claire weeks you can get her book at Amazon. I think it is a great book and it will help. Good luck take care. Hope you are feeling better but I know exactly what you’re going through.

They are so scary the way they feel although I’ve had these test and it’s going on 7 years now of dealing with these.. How do your feel when they happen and do you have any relief?

Oh they are always scary. I am dealing with them for years now and in back of my mind I know that I have lived with them for years and they won'tkill. They come in batches. Many days they stay and then disappear as if they were never there. Anxiety associated with them is part and parcel. I always get help by controlling (stopping coffee/tea/ anything that has caffeine including soft drinks), deep breathing, long walks and mild anxiolytic. Remember they won't kill u, but they are due to anxiety and themselves cause anxiety...

I've had these for Years ever since i was a Kid. Its 100% anxiety. I was a very anxious child and I never knew what caused them at the time. There is a great video on Youtube about this. Think its called ectopic heartbeats and there is a doctor who explains it all so calmly and basically ts nothing to worry about, but that's the kicker with Anxiety, its an ever lasting circle unless you can break it. You start to worry about the missed beats and then that causes more. You just need to break the cycle.

Absolutely, give them your full attention and they will continue. Accept them as normal and harmless and they will disappear..either way, they will NOT harm you!! I’ve had them on and off for over 40 years and MOST people have them but don’t feel them…RELAX…

As the poster above mentioned, give magnesium a try. There are many different types which can be very confusing. The two that are recommended for heart palpitations are magnesium glycinate and magnesium taurate.

Hi, I really feel for you because I’ve suffered with palpitations for years, I’ve had numerous ecg’s 2 echocardiograms & I’ve just returned a 48 hour heart monitor today. I honestly believe it’s something we have to learn to live with if you’ve had all the usual tests done & all come back ok. . I know you probably have already done this but have you tried deep breathing to calm yourself down or watch mindfulness on YouTube? Sometimes going out for a walk help calm you down.

You are too young to be worrying about this & you’ve got to try & enjoy life. Mine started when I was in my early 40’s I’m now in my early 60’s so obviously they cant be anything serious.

Take care of yourself
