Hello all, I’ve suffered with mild anxiety for many years but recent work stresses have taken my usually mild and easy to manage anxiety to a whole new level of daily and crippling anxiety this year.
I’ve not yet been on any medication from the GP, but before I go down the pharma medication route, is there anything natural I could try?
St. John’s Wort?
Karms tablets?
Has anything like this helped take the edge off anxiety for anyone?
I’ve recently started talking therapy and CBT as well as daily meditation, but wondering if there is something else I can try alongside these? Maybe I’m clutching at straws though?
Glad you have some therapy which takes time to work but a good start
St Johns wart is something some have found really helpful
I always think we can only but try something and if it does not help we have lost nothing and can stop it but if it does help well we have gained
What may help one always does not help another so it can be just trying these things and see what it does for you
Always check if you have any underlying health problems or take any other medications that even though these are natural meds that they are still safe to take
Hi I'm taking calms have been for a few months because I can't take prescription drugs I'm also taking vitamin b. I've got mindfulness apps on my I pad, but really works for me at the moment is nature apps especially woodland sounds. Take care.
Pharma route will help short term but it will change your brain and body function long term it will do damage. Changing certain situations in your life is a big help. Exercise, Nature, Mediation, eating healthy. Find and do things that gives you Joy, Happy and Calmness.
