I am brand new to this site and new to anxiety. I have the sensation that various parts of my face are twitching, but I can’t actually see anything moving. I’ve also started Zoloft, so wondering if anyone else has had either anxiety or medication cause this.
Please no responses that mention scary diseases as a cause for this, I’ve already (stupidly) looked this up on google and have a Neurology appointment coming up. I don’t want to end up in a new panic.

To be honest googling it could be the worst thing to do, the only people that take time to comment a review or anything are the ones that aren’t happy about it. You never hear about the good stories. I take Effexor for my anxiety and I couldn’t be happier that I did.
I did the same as you and googled it before I took it and got so scared. I finally just gave in and said f*%# it! It’s changed my life in the best way possible. Couldn’t imagine my life without the medication. If you have any other questions, I’ll be here. You got this!
Did you have any weird symptoms with it when you first started? I’m hoping what I’m experiencing is going to decrease the longer I’m on the medication.
I have had this off and on. It's a part of the whole anxiety thing. When I get this I use a magnesium supplement. Usually a twitch is associated with a magnesium deficiency as well. I use this product. It really does help to calm me down. amazon.com/Natural-Vitality...
Pretty much every muscle on my body twitches, it started with a lip, then eye, than face, arm leg but it can be anxiety to a mineral imbalance, as u say a new medication you started well than can be a cause, don’t let it scare you, there are plenty or scary diseases out there that has twitching as a symptom but not just twitching, and in them diseases twitching comes last before an array of others
