Try this. It’s a breathing image and it helps loads. I think that your tight throat could be anxiety. I used to have it often. I have learnt to relax more now but it’s a horrible feeling Lee. Maybe it’s coincidence that the anxiety caused by lockdown etc has caused it. Lots are feeling the anxiety. Hope the link helps you both. Take care and hang in there.
Mines still going on it went away for like a couple days then came back. I keep trying to stay distracted but sometimes it’s hard to even focus on anything cause of the breathing. I’m really praying this goes away for us
Hi there yes it’s Globus something. It can be caused by excess acid and is a stress thing. I was sent to hospital with it and had a camera down my throat, nothing was found it is very distressing. If you are worried you should have it checked out though. Try stretching the back of your throat by opening your mouth wide and swallowing you can almost feel the muscles relaxing. Sorry that was hard to explain.
Yeah cause I have scary breathing with it I went for a xray last Wednesday and I rang up today for my results and it’s come back all clear
Now you can breathe better Lee...this is not a lung issue as your x-ray showed.
It is a chest wall muscle issue. When we are anxious, we are tense, when we are
tense our muscles tighten enough to cause us distress. When distressed we get
anxious and on and on See the cycle that goes on 24/7??
The throat gets tights because of our fears. There are a lot of muscles in the back
of our throat and esophagus that help us swallow our food and liquid. When we
are in a fearful state, we swallow a lot of unnecessary air that can give us a full
pressure feeling as well.
Feeling like we can't breathe properly (when the lungs are working right) has to
do with the diaphragm getting so tight that it does not expand fully making us feel
we can't get enough air. Relaxing and breathing properly will unlock that feeling.
Knowing how the body works can help with the connection it has to our minds. xx
