I also have been trending on high side for sleeping .. the past few nights have been in the 90’s and 100’s while asleep.( according to my fit bit app .... please someone help!
Heart rate : Ok . So I have not been able to... - Anxiety Support
Heart rate
I have had this issue in the past, it can be a symptom of general anxiety. Is the Fitbit something you just started using? I would stop using it for awhile since it may be causing you to worry more. how do you feel in general, do you have a hard time relaxing, problems sleeping etc.
Yes I have been using the Fitbit for a while now .... so I am always checking and comparing. And these past few days have been a lot higher than normal ... I just can’t seem to shake it. To bring it down ....yes definitely have a hard time relaxing and sleeping has been hell , since I just feel my heart pounding
I am currently taking metoprolol.25 mg
I only take it at night before bed , it’s the extended release .....’so I hope my dose tonight will help it’s so scary feeling this way all day long , and I felt it all
Night long too
Yes If this continues through the night again and when I wake up , then I will most likely make a trip the ER
How are you feeling today? I was like that once my heart was pounding it was due to my heighten and being scared and the more I thought about it the worst it would be I would lay low off the fit but for awhile as well.
Kate, after this went down, did you have any stomach issues and a fast bathroom trip? After you answer that I would ask you to put up the BP machines and Fitbit. It is known the beat gets hard and fast during these times. I have lived 35 years with this and still breathing. Xanax works great for some and others not so well. Switching to Klonsipine may be the one that helps you most. It's like Xanax but longer lasting.
Yes I find that the Xanax is wearing off very soon , within 3 hours of taking it . I do wear the Fitbit and I know I am constantly checking it .... I want to have proof to show the docs that my heart rate gets this way and I want them to see it during nighttime .. it’s always high 70’s 85’- 100 during the night ... sometimes a little over 100 at night ... I have not checked my blood pressure at all , I am so tempted to , but at same time so afraid .... 🥺
Long ago when I had my first panic attack I ended up in ER. No one knew what was wrong and my heart was beating really fast. The EKG showed my heart was fine. A doctor walked in and a veteran from the marines. He had seen panic in war and told the nurse to give me 10cc's of something and I went from fear, afraid and dying to sitting up telling them I had a date and needed to leave. It was Valium they gave me and proof it was all in my head. He told me I needed to see a doctor to manage this new condition. I did and they gave me valium at first. A decade later and another doctor they gave me Xanax. The life of the pill is 2 to 4 hours and in me of taking it for a long time have found knowing that it will wear off to find something to distract me during that time instead of looking at the clock. I can say you are not dying. Your body will have all kinds of uncomfortable feelings but you will be fine. They have a drug called Trazadone that helps people sleep like us. I take 1/2 of a 25mg and fall asleep quickly and sleep all night. MIght ask about that. It's an antidepressant / sleeping aid. But remember everything is addicting. I chose to sleep.
