I had my first panick attack in 2017 and still I am under medication. I thought having heart attack and two days later visited to a cardiologist. He asked me to do an ECG and the report came with extra beating of heart. He then adviced to have an echocardiogram and I had. The report came normal. After that I went to a psychiatrist and still on the medicine. Sometimes I get too much anxious and worried about my heart. When I do small work like sweeping the room, my heart rate drastically increased. I don't know the fact. All the time I try to ensure me that everything is ok still can't get over this. Sometimes even I cried for my obsession...don't know why!😔

I have had anxiety for many years. I recently saw a cardiologist and was diagnosed with extra beats. She put me on 2 types of bp medicine to try and lower these extra beats. They can definitely cause increase in anxiety. I would not worry to much about it, but see a cardiologist periodically to make sure they dont get worse.

You need to be stronger than your anxiety. You must not let it control you. That is when it will go away.

Blimey this is exactly me. I feel like I'm going crazy. I can't stop panicking. I can't stop checking my heart beat every few minutes. I got put back on sertraline for anxiety. I took the first one at the weekend and within 5 hours I was getting heart palpitations and my heart was missing a beat for the first time ever. I now feel like my heart is beating out of my chest some of the day not fast but just harder and I'm in a right panic. I had an ECG yesterday and that all came back clear. but now I've started panicking about it again.

How are you doing now? X
