Nighttime anxiety?

Is it just me or does my health anxiety get the worst at nighttime, does anyone else have this problem? That’s when I start convincing myself that I can’t breathe or something. It’s even worse if I’m tired too.

I was actually just wondering if that was a thing because I feel the exact same way! Through out the day I kinda can just forget about my anxiety for the most part but at night it’s like steady on my mind and I can’t stop feeling like somethings wrong, ie. tightness in my chest or pain in my arm. Also worse when I’m tired.

I'll be relaxed and ready to fall asleep and as soon as I close my eyes, anxiety sets in. Its the worst!! I got over my insomnia and was doing so well. It has gotten worse again. The time change and added stress is taking a toll on my mind.

You are not alone.

That’s what has happened, like for a while I’d get insomnia really bad. I felt like I was never sleeping

Its so stressful. I learned there are usually causes of it. Either our diet, drinking, anxiety or stress. It takes a toll on our mind. Have you asked a professional? My therapist couldn't really give me an answer except she wanted to treat me for anxiety. Then I asked about vitamins. People on the site recommended sleepy time tea and magnesium. Those in combo of no alcohol and limiting late day sugar and caffeine intake helped. I also try not to do anything stressful after 8:30 pm. Taking a long hard look at my routine and what I was doing helped me to make changes that worked.

Until I started having issues with my stress and anxiety recently. I hope I can sleep better soon.
