Chronic dizziness, lightheaded
Same- I have had it for about a year as well. I will say, I found out through labwork I was deficient in vitamin b12 and since supplementing that’s has helped but when I am in an anxious period there is no making it go away. I have had quite a few tests as well and everything comes back as normal.
I take a multivitamin, maybe I'm not getting enough b12 ....but yea when I'm anxious it gets a little worst, but daily it just sits in my head
I have seen a few people on this forum comment that multivitamins are often not effective (and can even do some damage). They say to get checked for deficiencies and the to supplement with what you really need.
I saw a nutritionists yesterday, so its 550 dollars to do a test,..so when I have the money I'll do it. But definitely a shot he also said b vitamins are very important
Wow- that’s a lot! Obviously you can’t put a price on your health, but I’m glad my insurance covers all my bloodwork at 100% (I’m in the US)
Dizziness was one of the worst symptoms I had when I first developed anxiety. It lasted for months. And literally I was even more anxious about it. It was the hardest symptom I had to deal with. I literally felt like I wasn’t able to do anything. It sucked. But just know is is caused from high levels of stress. Your body can’t handle being in an anxious state at all times. I think it’s important that you just stay positive and know it’s the anxiety.
I'm all too familiar with the cog fog type of dizziness. Has been my most prevalent issue with MS, but today I awoke with a real dizziness, more like inner ear dizziness. Have taken a meclizine pill, and used flonase to reduce a stuffiness in my head. I will suggest that you have a blood test to see what vitamins you really may need, especially Vitamin D. My neurologist had me stop taking multivitamins because I had a high level of B-6, which can cause issues of the nerves when you get too much of it. It is put into cereals and many foods that we eat everyday, therefore we don't need more of it. I also had too high a level of B-12, way over what is normal. Go figure! Don't know how that happened, since I am 76 and should have a low level of that one. It is best to be cautious and find out what is really needed, so that we don't make things worse than they were. I do suggest you ask for meclizine from your doctor. I have taken it for many years and it is the one thing that does seem to help some with my dizziness, and even sometimes the cog fog spaciness.
Meclizine didnt help me lol...doctor gave me a full bottle, but I think tension was more to consider...my lightheaded and dizziness been goin on for a year ...
My dizziness /unbalanced feeling comes from tension in my neck and shoulder muscles.
In the meantime you can get some B12 patches from Amazon called "Health Living B12 Energy Patch" see if they help. While you are waiting for your test, that's such a lot of money, I take it you are in the US?
Yup.im.in the US of A....
money talks around here, I have be complex vitamins but dont take them.because I already take a multivitamin daily, wich I wasnt sure if taking b complex would be a little to overboard..but thanks for the advice
Got to be really careful with too much of some vitamins, like B6. My tests showed too much of that and my Neuro had me stop taking it. It can cause problems.
