How to know you’re finally calming down?

Hi

What are some ways you can tell that you’ve calmed down after a panic Attack ? Like it seems I’m in a constant state of panic attacks unless I eat , write or sleep? I harp on the littlest things with me. This health anxiety won’t go away.

Also , unless I’m with my safe person . But, for moments where I’m in the house alone.....sometimes I kinda panic :/ which is crazy because I love my alone time , sometimes.

I know the obvious : you’re not hyperventilating or you don’t have any palpitations...& that’s been settled...but anxiety is more than those two things , as you know.

You are absolutely right hippie, in that anxiety is more than hyperventilating and

palpitations x You will know when you are finally calming down when your

mind is calm. As long as your mind is racing or in "what if" mode, you can't be

calm. Anxiety is a two fold disorder with a Mind/Body Connection. How we think and

react to a panic attack affects us physically, mentally and emotionally. Finding

methods that may work for you is the key to feeling peace from within. :) xx

I love this answer Agora, and I agree. I find that when i center myself through guided meditations , I am great!! Or when I am happily productive or talking to a loved one. But yes, this mind/body centeredness....that matters. I gotta keep this in mind as one of many positive thoughts to have. To be centered.
