the only friend i have has just said i should pull myself together they don't understand what it is like to have anxiety if it was only that simple i feel so frightened
just been taken off citalopram and only on... - Anxiety Support
just been taken off citalopram and only on diazapan know but can't seen to calm down to day
Fear not, anxiety will not kill you even though it feels like it will at times x
Why were you taken off them?
Ignore your friend, ignorance is bliss and she proberbly means well, just doesn't know how. To e xpress it. Do some thing to try and take your mind off what is making you anxious. Easier said than done I know .
I hope it helps that you are not alone
Take care and deep breaths. Xxxxx
i spoke to the doctor this morning and told him how i felt and he said stop taking them and just take the diazapan with only taking citalopram for 4 days shold i get any withdrawl symptoms
Ditto Cookiepatch. exactly what i would say. xx
I think you should feel much better with just the diazepam. Citalepram, as far as I am concerned, causes too many unpleasant side effects for it to be useful.
did you take citalopram and for how long did they put you on diazepam i was only on citalopram for 4 days should i get any withdrawl symptoms
does diazepan work for anxiety
Hi, i was put on diazepan before flouxetine. They worked wen i had my worst panic attacks. My doctor didnt want be on the diazepan for to long, plus only told me to take one wen i really needed to. I cudnt cope at the time, was another panic attackes dayly but they helped. After a month of taking my flouxetine i never took another diazepan as the flouxetine kicked in. Xxx

I am on escitalopram which is more refined version of citalopram and less side effects. Just felt tired. Saying this it has not helped at all after 12 weeks! Probably come off it! Also have 2mg diazapam for when i am really bad. Thats excellent but addictive if taken regularly. X
diazapen helps me a lot but the doctor won't perscribe it anymore
That my fear. Dr said will keep prescribing if i am sensible with it. Try to only have 2 or 3 a week at most.
Hello Beechie, I took citalopram and felt 'orrible, so I've stopped. I love Diazapam when I'm having a wobbly. My doctor wouldn't give it me, so I changed docs. I think if it is taken sparingly and sensibly then it should be prescribed. It isn't the only thing handed out which is addictive, so I don't know why docs are so worried about it. I had a huge nervous breakdown and they tried everything - even trying to put me to sleep for a few days in hospital - and nothing worked. Eventually, they gave me few days on Diazapam and I calmed down! I don't have it often and I am only given a few low dose tabs at a time, along with a very long lecture on usage, but they don't want me running around screaming in the surgery again! Seriously, argue it out, but try to find another way to calm yourself too because you can't have it all the time. I'm 62 and I've taken it at long intervals for 30 yrs- years in between and only when really necessary. Best of luck. Deep breaths. xxxxxxx
i begged the doctor but he said he can't i'm on 2mg 3 times a day but don't take it all only when needed i suffer from anxiety and have just had a camera down my nose because thought something was stuck but it isn't i am fed up with trying different anxiety tablets and getting bad side effects the diazapen calms me down a bit the last tablet he gave me was trazodone but affraid to take it
Hello Sweetie. You really are suffering at the mo, aren't you? I don't know anything about Trazodone - sorry. I don't know much about you, so can't make any comments on what is making you so anxious, but I do know what it's like when you are having a really bad day. It will pass. Honest. Try to look beyond the bad patch and be reassured that it will get better. I know it's horrible when it's happening though. Your friend is lucky if he/she doesn't have anxiety attacks, but it doesn't mean they never will. Some strange things trigger them. I'm sending you big hugs and nice calming thoughts. Keep telling yourself 'it will pass'. xxxx
