Hi all! I should start by saying that I have been on 10mg buspar twice a day for nearly 2 months. 90% of the time I do great, the other 10% not so much...like yesterday (I had just tense feelings all day), but today, a full on attack. I was at my mom's house with my 6yo daughter. It came on strong and fast. Palpitations, red, burning chest, throat and face, I almost hyperventilated.
My aunt is my gp's nurse, so I called her (normally she can talk me down). She suggested I come home, check my blood pressure (my fear is always heart attack), so I did, bp 125/77 (perfect for me), but my heart rate was 93...which isn't terrible, but feels unbearable during an attack.
My delima is, she suggested I take a xanax (what they gave me to cope until the buspirone was prescribed and adequately in my system), but every time I take one, I feel like it sets me back because I feel like crap for several days after.
Sorry for the long post, but any suggestions or words of encouragement would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!
