Hi,New medication 💊 can have side effects which usually settle after a week or two.
Having said that, you don't have to wait that long if your experience is unbearable. Your doctor should be happy to receive feedback and try something else.
Each person has a different chemistry and or medical history, so your body could react to the same drug differently.
My best advice is talk to your prescriber 🐈⬛
Yes I take Diazapan but not regularly I just use it when I'm climbing the walls. My main medication is Sertraline which is for my anxiety the Dr gave me Propanalol which he prefers me to use over Diazapan. I take 2/3 40mg Propanalol on a regular basis
Do you feel the anxiety affects your heart rythem? I have anxiety along with a heart issue, tachycardia...high heart rate and skipped beats. My anxiety in the past could trigger my heart rate to go up from 60 to 180, that high can feel like I can't breath or feel like a heart attack..it is quite scary. I was in the ER for this a couple of years ago and the Doc noticed Xanex on my list...I said yes I take it for panic attacks, the Doc whispered you just need to take a larger dose and it will probably not get to this point...I haven't been back to the ER.
Finding the right medicine at the right dose is paramount.
Yes absolutely...Valium and Xanax are in the same family of drugs called benzodiazepines widely used for anxiety. Xanax is used for panic attacks and is faster acting.
