Well look at it this way. If you are going to die in your sleep or midday you might as well enjoy your life the best you can meantime. There is no point in spending your last days miserable is there? There would be nothing you could do about it after all.

The fact is the it's very rare for someone to die in their sleep or drop dead suddenly unless they are very ill or very old. You are neither so why would you? Your mind is telling you that you will so tell your mind not to be so daft and to concentrate on living instead. I hope this helps a bit. x

in reply tohypercat54

Does being tired have anything to do with this I’m scared I will have a heart attack or stroke either during the day or in my sleep

hypercat54 profile image
hypercat54 in reply to

Tiredness won't cause any heart problems or a heart attack. if that was the case we would all have multiple heart attacks weekly. Our bodies are amazingly strong and are built to last a long time so please try not to worry. x

in reply tohypercat54

Last night I woke up at like 3 and I just walked around my house for about 10 minutes and I came back to bed and just sat there and my heart just kinda stopped for about 2 seconds and it scared me this made the fear worse

hypercat54 profile image
hypercat54 in reply to

This is normal too so try not to concentrate on it too much as the more you do the more anxious you will get and the more symptoms you will have. It's a vicious circle. Try and distract yourself instead. x

My friends told me to try to find a quiet spot somewhere outside or inside and just meditate there for 20 minutes

Tries

I also went to my church and talked with the preacher about this and he gave me spiritual advice

Tell the doctor you have health anxiety as maybe meds and/or counselling can help you.

Yes I take nerve pills for this

They really don’t work but I just started taking them about a week ago

Nerve pills? Do you mean antidepressants? Are you having any counseling? Didn't your doctor tell you they take up to 6 weeks before they get fully into your system, so give them a chance to work. x

This is silly of me to say because I know exactly how you feel. But... I purchased a smart watch just for this reason!! I used to have the feeling my heart wasnt beating, or it was stopping. My heart rate was too low. Etc.

Now I have my little smart watch will tell me how fast my heart is beating:)

It's a nice little reassurance. It may not be totally accurate but hey, atleast I know I still have a pulse! Maybe you could find a cheap one :)

No one can guarantee when or where they will die the fear of dying and is not knowing and makes no difference young old or ill but god gives us chances to do good in the world and use every day as if it was the last I too fear but try to overcome it it’s very hard but we can’t change wh meant to be

EleanorRose profile image
EleanorRose

Why do you think this is going to happen?

Sometimes although we want reassurance from others, it doesn’t help us as much as we think it will - as you’ve kind of realised for yourself.

Maybe you could make yourself a list, reasons why it is likely and reasons why it isn’t. Hopefully you will see the reasons why it isn’t is a much longer list.

This sounds like an unpleasant way to be living at the moment. Have you spoken to anyone professionally about your anxiety? I have had similar fears in the past and do empathise with you but what I have learnt , over time and with support, is that no matter how real it seems in the moment, it is just the anxiety.

My worst fear was strokes & seizures but that because I felt like dying in the hot or just The way my body feels like most of the day I don't feel like myself tiredness head pains and bumbs shaking shocks in head or hands juss alot of torture in my body and felt like I couldn't make it and pretty much every single day I think something bad gonna happen but it anxiety and maybe it just some health problems that trigger anxiety to make us think worst but we gotta fight it n try to get back to feeling okay and not scared anymore I know it it what I gotta learn I Kno it hard🙁

Hi. Your anxiety has got out of control again hasn't it? Emm. I do feel for you. I'm afraid there is no good advice for this one as anyone of us could die. We just don't know how much time we have. But in your case it's best to look at it on the balance of probabilities. I like to combat negative or anxious thoughts with different ones. Then I can have a choice! I don't have to believe everything my head starts up. If I have other ideas from other places I get better at making educated guesses as to what is likely to be true. At times, I just can't make my mind up and that's ok too! Kinda normal really.

Was thinking the same thing I didn’t know thanks for telling me though

I can guarantee you that you will not just die .. you need to understand that the body is stronger than we give it credit for . It won’t just stop working like that . I was having chest pains and thought I was going to die and not wake up every morning . But I’m still here . Please don’t live Like that don’t let it consume your life because it will if you Let it . Also if you find it’s really interfering with your life I would

Suggest talking to someone maybe therapy will help you to understand why your feeling like this !

Best wishes :)

I would say this is anxiety and that your mind is constantly going around in circles with fear.

Do you work full or part time? does this happen when you are busy occupied with something or does this happen when you have nothing to do? just want to know and understand what triggers it.

I wouldn't say I have a fear of dying but I am a bit scared of it but I think if it happens then it is my time to go.

in reply toSurreylady

I think about it when I have nothing to do

What we are experiencing all together is called health anxiety . Your anxiety is taking a toll on you and has you thinking your going to die. But these symptoms cause you to feel this way because symptoms are different for everyone.

When you think your going to die , imagine heaven and accept it. Then you will find a better sense of comfort.

Shit were all going to die , but only god knows when , you can be the healthiest in the world and fall down today, or you might be the smoker, drinker with bad anxiety issues and other health issues and live a long long time....

God works in mysterious ways , all you gotta do is have faith

I am scared to talk to anyone about it because I fear that if I do it will come true. This is the scariest feeling I've ever had.

Hello MyDogMax. First and foremost, let’s take a deep breath together.

Ok now. This is a fear that has practically been ruining my life for the past month. Even if I feel completely fine before going to bed, I get terrified that I will die. I have crazy symptoms like lightheadedness, brain fog, tingling, chest pain, sudden exhaustion, aches and pains everywhere. It’s the absolute worst. However, every time I’m at the height of freaking out and I go to the ER, the tests ALWAYS come back negative. The funny thing about my fears are that there was no health episode or good reason for me to have such thoughts. I’ve always been healthy with very little health issues, yet here I am young and still terrified I’m going to suddenly drop down dead. This is when I have to tell myself it is my mind. Whatever you’re thinking, your body feels. The mind is very very powerful. Instead of worrying what the future holds? Live in the present. You are alive today. Who cares about tomorrow? There’s a verse in the Bible that says to focus on today because tomorrow has enough concerns of its own.

I know this is much easier said then done but from the sound of it, your fears are tearing you up and taking over your life. It’s been 2 weeks since your original post and you’re still here, panicking. You haven’t had any health problems. You’re going to be ok. If your doctors are telling you that you are healthy, then hold on to that and live your life. Also, when these fears consume you at night, pray. Give your fears to God. Believe me He is the only one that can take them away from you. We are not meant to live in fear but to live fearlessly, not worrying because God has got us. Always remember that.

Breathe and know you will get through this.

-Lia.

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

May he Rest In Peace. But don’t let his sudden death make you think that you’re him. As you said, you’re healthy and unfortunately he was not. He may have known that he was at risk for dying of a seizure given that he was already being treated for a medical condition that may have caused them. Keep reminding yourself that you are healthy and are not having seizures so you have a VERY low risk of even having one. In addition to this, those who do have seizures (depending on what type of course) have a .1-1% of dying from seizures. So if their risk is that low and they have frequent seizures, imagine how much lower your risk is. When you get anxious about things like this, look up the facts. According to epilepsy.com, most seizures are not life threatening. Just don’t dwell on it too much.

Death for you is near?

in reply toTrustnGod

I don’t know I feel like it

in reply toTrustnGod

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

Here’s what I think. When we’re aware of something, we become obsessed with it. For instance, I recently got a Chevy Cruze and now because I have that car and am aware of it, I feel like every other car I see is a Chevy. In the same way, when you’re scared of death, you’re hyperaware of anything that involves death. Songs, movies, shows, everything. A lot of Christian songs discuss death and when we’re scared we’re dying, we pay extra close attention to that and swear it’s a sign from God. Either way, we have no clue when we could die but that’s not something we should dwell on. I want to ask- why are you scared of death? I’m terrified of it too and just last night couldn’t sleep because I thought I was going to have a heart attack. But I’ve realized why I’m so scared of death and knowing why I am gives me some solace. So, why are you scared of dying?

in reply toTrustnGod

No idea

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

Is it because it’s out of your control?

in reply toTrustnGod

I’m pretty sure

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

Or because you don’t know what it will be like? I mean think of it. Death isn’t an experience we can come back to talk about so no one truly knows what it’s like to die

in reply toTrustnGod

Yes and that but I don’t think I will but I do at the same time

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

That’s a really tough thing because control is something we grasp onto a little too tightly sometimes. Unfortunately, there is no way to control death. But if you do believe in God, just remember that he will take you when it’s his perfect time. Jeremiah 29:11 says that God has plans to give us a hope and a future, not to harm us. Your thoughts are clearly harming your quality of life and keeping you from living which means that they aren’t from God. He wouldn’t “paralyze” you with such thoughts because he is a God that gives us fearlessness, not fear.

in reply toTrustnGod

So what your saying is that it’s anxiety

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

Exactly. There’s a post on the forum and this lady was saying she was terrified she was going to die. She kept on feeling like she saw signs that indicated it and she could barely sleep. 1 year later and she was still living and the fear still sometimes came. Your anxiety can convince you of some crazy things but you have to realize even though you are healthy, your thoughts can still make you think crazy crazy things.

in reply toTrustnGod

Yes I looked up something on the internet about this and it said the only way you can die in your sleep if your healthy is if your heart goes Haywire so

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

That as well as if you have terminal illnesses such as cancer but I don’t think undiagnosed cancer would give you symptoms of impending doom. If you google it you’ll find that a sense of impending doom is almost ALWAYS a symptoms of anxiety and unfortunately your anxiety comes in that form

in reply toTrustnGod

Do you know of like any ways to get rid of this fear faster

in reply toTrustnGod

Do you know how to get rid of this fear

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

Sorry about that. I’ve been a little busy and haven’t had time to reply. Honestly fear is really hard to combat. Usually, going back to when it first started is what helps a lot. Discovering what caused it and working through that will help. But you can’t expect results just overnight. You really have to work at it. There will be days when you’re terrified and other days you’ll be completely fine. If I’m being honest, there was a solid week where I slept in my parents room because I was so scared in my own. But once I realized 1. Our bodies are made to live for long periods of time 2. Death is inevitable and most importantly, 3. Because of my faith, I know I will end up in a better place then death became less of a fear and more of just something I accepted.

Hello MyDogMax. I apologize for my delayed response. I will plan on retyping what I had originally typed out and messaged you. I really and truly do think this is anxiety. I went through this REALLY badly a couple of weeks ago. I would began to fall asleep and the second I would go into the altered state of consciousness I would wake up, freaked out that me drifting off to sleep was actually me dying. It was RIDICULOUS and cost me SO many hours of sleep.

How was the therapy session? Did it help to ease your anxiety?

Hmm. I’m sure with time you will develop trust and be able to talk about things. The other word of advice I wanted to give to you was to look into buying a oximeter and/or BP monitor so you can take your vitals. I think seeing a visual representation of your health may be beneficial. I have an oximeter and it has been really helpful because I get short of breath sometimes, and reading that my oxygen levels are perfectly fine gives me peace of mind. Maybe this can help ease the anxiety for you as well.

in reply toTrustnGod

I’m a Christian definitely but i don’t know why I think this

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

I don’t believe this is from God. 2 Timothy 1:7 says “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” God would not make you fearful of dying in your sleep. That is not him speaking to you. You’re allowing yourself and your life to be controlled by a fear that is not being produced by God. You’re going to be ok. Ask God to take the fear away and to give you peace of mind.

Ok I will keep that in mind thanks for being here for me I really appreciate it

in reply toTrustnGod

Just woke up from nap feeling a little bettee

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

Anytime. That’s what this forum is for. I’m glad you got to take a nap. Now go enjoy the beach!

in reply toTrustnGod

Thanks I will, and will keep in touch with you to update you

in reply toTrustnGod

I think is this fear when I’m not active so when I’m active I love it because I never think of it

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

Yup that’s how anxiety is. But it will get better

in reply toTrustnGod

So basically my little counsins and uncle surprised me here and now I’m even more scared because I’m scared I will die in my sleep and they will try to wake me up and realize I won’t wake up I’m scared

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

Don’t think about that. You cannot let this fear interfere with your life. It’s going to be ok.

in reply toTrustnGod

Ok I took a melatonin which helps calm my nerves and makes me tired

in reply toTrustnGod

I’m literally crying right now because I’m so scared please help

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

Ok I want you to bend all of your fingers except your thumb and ring finger. Take your thumb and cover one nostril and breath in. Hold that breath and then take your ring finger and cover the other nostril. Now breathe out and then take another breath in with that same nostril then switch fingers again. This is going to calm down the fight or flight response you’re experiencing.

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply toTrustnGod

Do that for 2 minutes.

in reply toTrustnGod

Ok I will but every time I close my eyes I think about it more and more

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

Then don’t close your eyes. Keep them open until you’re so tired you can’t resist the urge.

in reply toTrustnGod

I just can’t stop thinking about it

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

Do you want to talk about something to distract yourself?

in reply toTrustnGod

I can’t deal with this anymore

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

You can do this. Believe me you can. I know you can.

in reply toTrustnGod

Ok I’m gonna take deep breaths and try to get some sleep talk to you in the morning

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

Ok. You’re going to be ok. Reach out tonight if you need to.

in reply toTrustnGod

Slept pretty good tonight gonna do some shopping with family go out to etc hoping to have a good day

in reply toTrustnGod

Is it ok to be really tired after a 2hour nap and 8 hour sleep

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

I’m glad to hear you slept well! Don’t think about death today. Try to redirect your brain to thinking of something else. It’s very normal for you to feel that tired. Your body is so anxious and going through a lot. It’s exhausted so I’m not surprised that you’re still tired.

in reply toTrustnGod

I think this is anxiety because god wouldn’t want you to go through this thinking he’s gonna take me he wouldn’t want you to think that and it come true

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

Exactly. I was just listening to a video this morning and it said if you have fearful thought, it isn’t from God. Remember that. Yesterday, I was driving and kept seeing signs that said “if you were to die where would you go?” If I’d seen that sign even a month ago I would’ve panicked because I would’ve thought God was telling me I’m going to die. But I realized that that’s not the first or last time I’ve ever seen and will see that sign. Don’t let your fears control your life. We must have faith in God when those fears become too large for us to handle.

in reply toTrustnGod

Yep I just can’t wait to go to my preacher I feel better talking to hom

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

Definitely. Keep me updated! I’ll be here if you need me.

in reply toTrustnGod

So u don’t think this is not a sign from god or anything

in reply to

Sign that in gonna die in my sleep

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

The fact that you’ve felt this way for so long but you’re still ok is a testament that you’re going to be ok.

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

Nope. In fact I KNOW it isn’t because you’re terrified. God doesn’t give us fearful thoughts always remember that.

in reply toTrustnGod

Yes and I read something that said when you sleep your hearts at its calmest point of the day

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

Exactly. Do you ever get a feeling like you’re sinking when you fall asleep?

in reply toTrustnGod

Yes I feel like I can’t feel anything if I’m tired alot

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

Yup. It’s because your muscles are constantly tense so when you’re too tired to keep them tense, they relax causing your body to feel like you’re turning to jelly and it’s terrifying but it’s just your body relaxing.

in reply toTrustnGod

Yes I just took a walk down the sidewalk to relieve some nerves

in reply toTrustnGod

Last night was bad because I just got the beach and it’s different from my home so I had to get used to it

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

Good good. You’re going to be just fine. Are you still at the beach?

in reply toTrustnGod

Yes

in reply toTrustnGod

Not leaving until next Saturday

in reply toTrustnGod

Is it ok if I don’t poop as much as I used to but eat normally

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

I would think so. I’m guessing your digestive system is working a bit slower because so much of your energy is going to your anxiety.

in reply toTrustnGod

Yea probably so just wandering

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

If you feel like super constipated or something I’d watch it but if you’re just pooping less frequently don’t worry about it.

in reply toTrustnGod

Yes don’t feel constipated at all

in reply toTrustnGod

I think it’s the devil putting this in my mind

in reply toTrustnGod

I hate it when I my mind says it’s not gonna happen and then like the other my mind says it will

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

The devil is absolutely putting this into your mind. Rebuke him! The Lord is more powerful then the thoughts he is putting in your mind. You cannot let fear rule your life

in reply toTrustnGod

Yes I know it’s just I’m so scared it will happen

in reply toTrustnGod

question does cramps have to do anything with this

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

I get cramps constantly. They usually don’t mean anything serious.

in reply toTrustnGod

Or mean death is near

in reply toTrustnGod

Just read something that said the sleepiness can be a sign of death

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

Please stop reading. Do you google symptoms often? Sleepiness is your body telling you hey we’ve had an awesome day now please let me have a break.

in reply toTrustnGod

Had a really good time at water park got my mind off things now going back to my condo to probably take a nap

in reply toTrustnGod

At the park with my uncle aunt and cousins

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

Good good. I hope you’re having fun!

in reply toTrustnGod

Having fun last night was better than last

in reply toTrustnGod

Gonna watch a movie with them now

in reply toTrustnGod

So now I’m freaked out once again I’m scared

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

It’s ok. Breathe breathe breathe. Try hard not to think about it

in reply toTrustnGod

Ok I trust u i hope tonight will be good

in reply toTrustnGod

I think when night comes is when my anxiety triggers

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

Well yes because it’s become too comfortable with being present when your body is becoming calm and getting ready to eventually sleep.

in reply toTrustnGod

When you said give me a break we’re you talking about you or the body

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

The body haha

in reply toTrustnGod

Ok can I tell you something

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

Of course

in reply toTrustnGod

At the water park today gonna have a good time good day for relaxing and getting my mind off thing

in reply toTrustnGod

Oh ok just didn’t know

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

Yup don’t worry I am a very very patient person. When do you get to see your preacher?

in reply toTrustnGod

Gotta plan appointment when I get back from beach

in reply toTrustnGod

Tonight’s war better still in my mind but not bad

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

Good! I’m glad. Just keep breathing and don’t think about it

in reply toTrustnGod

But it won’t happen either way right

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

I cannot predict the future but based off of the fact that you’re healthy and have lived with this fear thus far I think you’re fine.

in reply toTrustnGod

Ok I hope that too I hope something doesn’t happen

in reply toTrustnGod

I’m probably going to go to bed and have a fun time tomorrow

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

Nothing will happen. Remind yourself that this is anxiety. Have a good rest.

in reply toTrustnGod

Ok thanks

in reply toTrustnGod

Doing a lot better went down the the beach today and had lots of fun

in reply toTrustnGod

I’ve got a question

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

Ok go ahead

in reply toTrustnGod

Is it normal to urinate about 3-4 times a day

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

Well how much water do you drink on a daily basis?

in reply toTrustnGod

I have no idea probably 3 glasses a day

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

I’d say that’s normal. From what I’ve read, on average people pee 6-8 times a day. But given how little you drink, I’m not surprised your numbers are lower. I sometimes pee like 2 times a day when I’m drinking nothing and when I’m drinking lots I pee upwards of 10 times a day. It all depends on what you’re giving your body to work with.

in reply toTrustnGod

That sortve scared me a little bit

in reply toTrustnGod

Still praying it won’t happen and to please give me a peaceful mind

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

What worries you about that?

in reply toTrustnGod

I have no idea just think it has something to do with bladder problems

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

If you had bladder problems it would be more apparent because other symptoms that effect your urine are more likely to show up. Don’t worry about it. Every body is so different some people just pee more frequently. That number is an average meaning plenty of healthy people pee under or over that amount.

in reply toTrustnGod

I hate this fear so much I just want it to be done and then I don’t think about and then it pops out of nowhere and I think it’s gonna happen

in reply toTrustnGod

Do you still think it’s not gonna happen or have you changed your mind

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

No. My mind hasn’t changed. I think you’re totally fine but I want you to be able to have peace of mind too.

in reply toTrustnGod

Yes same

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

Because me sitting here telling you that you’re fine and it’s just anxiety is so much easier then you saying that to yourself. It’s not fair that you have to go through this on a daily basis so I want you to find a solution- hence my suggestion.

in reply toTrustnGod

I hate going through this I can’t thank you enough for dealing with ne

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

No worries! I go through this too so I feel your pain. But it’s going to be ok.

in reply toTrustnGod

Ok thank you so much

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

Living like this is just ridiculous. It’s crazy how our fears can just take over our lives.

in reply toTrustnGod

I just hope it doesn’t happen I really hope it doesn’t happen

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

Breathe. Don’t think about death. Focus on the fact that you’re living. Have you tried meditation?

in reply toTrustnGod

Yes doesn’t help but I still do it

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

Well good on not giving up. You’ll be ok

in reply toTrustnGod

Ok I’m trusting you hopefully tomorrow we will do something fun

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

Don’t trust me. Trust God. Have a good rest.

in reply toTrustnGod

I’m scared now right before I go to bed I’m freaked out I think it’s gonna happen

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

You’re going to be ok. Remind yourself that all of the facts say you will make it. You are healthy and this is anxiety. God doesn’t give us spirits of fear.

in reply toTrustnGod

I know it’s just it can’t get to my mind that I’m fine

in reply toTrustnGod

I’m gonna try to get some sleep praying I will wake up tomorrow

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

It’s ok. It will take time but you’ll eventually get there.

in reply toTrustnGod

My uncle I talked to him about it and he said I know for a fact it’s not gonna happen and if it does it’s gonna be by a person that breaks in and kills you while your asleep or your heart just goes haywire and that’s almost impossible to happen

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

Exactly.

in reply toTrustnGod

Do you think I handle stress good

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

I think you’re doing a good job. The fact that you’re still out and about and can distract yourself means that your body is getting a break.

in reply toTrustnGod

I take melatonin which calms my nerves down a lot

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

Good! Have you tried magnesium at all?

in reply toTrustnGod

Nope

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

It can help calm the nerves as well if you want to try it.

in reply toTrustnGod

At the local pool right now haven’t thought about my fear at all today

in reply toTrustnGod

Doing good today praying it won’t happen tonight or any night

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

Don’t anticipate it happening and it won’t. Just live your life and if it comes remind yourself it’s anxiety. I’m glad you’re having a good day!

in reply toTrustnGod

Doing better tonight took a nap and woke up so I didn’t die in my sleep during my nap so why should I tonight

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

When you wake up do you always think about how you didn’t die?

in reply toTrustnGod

Not really when I wake up I kinda just sit there relax and then when I get up I’m like well didn’t die in my sleep and go on with my day

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

Ah ok.

in reply toTrustnGod

Is that good

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

Ya that’s pretty good. It’s good you don’t wake up anxious or anything.

in reply toTrustnGod

Yea then when I wake up after I do I’m just like it didn’t happen live another day happily and nothing will happen

in reply toTrustnGod

Doing way better tonight praying I won’t die in my sleep though

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

Good! Keep praying

in reply toTrustnGod

Doing a little better need someone to talk to now

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

Ok I’m here.

in reply toTrustnGod

So I need to talk about something to get my mind off things

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

Ok well what do you want to talk about? You can tell me about your week with your family.

in reply toTrustnGod

Well we went to the water park which was fun then we went shopping and found some cool stuff and went to the pier and saw some guys catch fish and then went to a bar/restaurant and then the next day we went to a pool and had a blast there came back to the house took a nap and these last few nights have been pretty good I have to say now gotta be quiet don’t wanna jinx it so here we are today/tonight and tonight’s kinda good

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

Good to hear! Sounds like a blast. How long are you going to be with your family for?

in reply toTrustnGod

All leaving tomorrow

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

Nice

in reply toTrustnGod

Yes but don’t want to leave so peaceful here

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

I can imagine. I live nowhere near the beach so on the rare occasion I go, it takes everything in me to

Leave haha

in reply toTrustnGod

Yes I know that feeling it stinks

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

What’s your favorite dessert?

in reply toTrustnGod

Sorry fell asleep last night um probably banana pudding

in reply toTrustnGod

Can you explain what a pause in breath is

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

Do you mean you voluntarily paused or??

in reply toTrustnGod

No i don’t know if I pause while I’m breathing so I was asking you what it meant to see if I pause while I breath

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

Here’s the thing...it’s easy for us to see if we’re short of breath or can’t breathe but it’s very difficult to see if we truly pause during our breathing because when we focus on something that’s relatively involuntary, we aren’t able to view it normally if that makes sense.

in reply toTrustnGod

Yes I don’t think my breath skips but when I was driving today my heart fluttered and I was freaked out I was looking around like are these my last breaths or not so I probably won’t go to sleep

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

My heart flutters too. It’s a normal feeling. If you were having serious issues you would be able to tell. I don’t think you have flesh eating bacteria. This is all anxiety.

in reply toTrustnGod

Now I’m kinda scared about that flesh eating bacteria because my throat hurts and I’m scared that’s something that tells you that you have it

in reply toTrustnGod

Well I don’t have it because we went to the Atlantic Ocean in Georgia

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

Good

in reply toTrustnGod

I think I just got tired of being in that car driving so I think that’s what triggered my anxiety

in reply toTrustnGod

I just don’t know why I my throat hurts that scares me

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

I wouldn’t be surprised. When you’re in the car you have too much time to think about stuff like that. What kind of pain is it?

in reply toTrustnGod

Oh just sore throat

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

Well given you’ve been around kids and just a lot people in general I’m not surprised if you’re getting a cold or something. Maybe allergies.

in reply toTrustnGod

Just got back from swimming at a friends house kinda freaked out again I believe it will happen tonight

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

Ok I want you to start taking your worry and saying ok this is normal. I feel this often. I have made it past this many times. It is anxiety. I am healthy. And then let it go.

in reply toTrustnGod

Didn’t get much sleep last night woke up at around 2am and went back to bed and then woke up at 6 and didn’t go back to sleep

in reply toTrustnGod

I have no idea what just happened I’m freaking out I came back inside I was doing stuff around the house wasn’t hot at all then I started to feel light headed and my back was hurting like crazy and I felt like I was about to pass out or something I’m literally crying I took a little time and I went to the bed to lay down and took a small nap now I feel good

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

I’m sorry to hear that. It’s probably your body adjusting to being back home. Did you have anything to eat before doing stuff around the house?

in reply toTrustnGod

Nope

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

That could be it. I for one get very ill (lightheaded, hot, shaky) when I don’t eat before going about my daily activities, even if they are small.

in reply toTrustnGod

Oh so that probably is the problem now I just feel weird like my fear isn’t like it used to be

in reply toTrustnGod

It seems more serious than before

in reply toTrustnGod

Made it back home but today I just can’t get my mind off dying in my sleep

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

It’s going to be ok

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply toTrustnGod

When you were at the beach did you have people who were staying in the same house as you or were you alone there?

in reply toTrustnGod

Same house

in reply toTrustnGod

Oh another question would this like fear be different on like a 14 year old or would it be the same as what I’m dealing with

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

I think maybe you being alone (I am assuming you live alone?) may have increased the fear. But as far as we both know, you’re healthy.

I mean it depends on the 14 year old. Everyone is so different I couldn’t tell you. But I think the fear would be less real and extreme to most.

in reply toTrustnGod

Yes I do do you think a 14 year old could die from this considering their young

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

Could die from their fear of death?

in reply toTrustnGod

Yes

in reply toTrustnGod

Do you think they will

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

No. Your fears can’t physically hurt you

in reply toTrustnGod

I just think it’ll happen

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

We’d all be dead if they did. Do you think you’re in bad health or something?

in reply toTrustnGod

I feel weird I’m so scared it’s gonna happen I feel more confident it will

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

It’s ok. You’re probably scared to be alone after being with people

in reply toTrustnGod

I don’t think I’m fine honestly it sucks being like this all the time

in reply toTrustnGod

I might go swim with my friends and still praying i will wake up in the morning

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

It does but it will pass. Think of how long you’ve had this fear. A long time and you’re still fine now. Keep praying. God will give you peace.

in reply toTrustnGod

I sure do hope so

in reply toTrustnGod

No idea what’s going on in my head I’m positive I will die in my sleep tonight

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

Is there an urgent care or ER you can go to?

in reply toTrustnGod

Yes

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

Sometimes fear gets really serious like that but I think you’re fine. Give me all the reasons why you could possibly die. Do you have any health conditions ?

in reply toTrustnGod

No I don’t went to the doc and he said everything with me was fine

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

Then believe that and live your life. You can’t be consumed by fear. It’s ok to be afraid but you can’t let it consume your life like this

in reply toTrustnGod

I’m just scared I will stop breathing in the middle of my sleep and not wake up or my heart just stops

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

You’re scared more about where you’ll end up if you die then actually dying right?

in reply toTrustnGod

No well there kinda the same I just don’t want to die can being a little overweight be a problem and maybe kill me In my sleep

in reply toTrustnGod

And then plus earlier today I was feeling like I was gonna pass out I’m so scared I don’t know what to do im just so scared

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

It’s ok. Your doctor checked you to make sure you didn’t have problems that would cause complications like death and you don’t. Remember passing out is not the same as dying. You probably had a drop in blood pressure or something which has been resolved since you’re not feeling the symptoms anymore.

in reply toTrustnGod

I went 3 times one doc 2 times then the other even heard my heart flutter and said I was fine that’s the heart growing and even checked my pulse and everything and was all good

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

If they heard it flutter and said it wasn’t a problem then the only thing you can do is believe them. If you’re this worried though you could make an appointment with a cardiologist or something just to ease your mind.

in reply toTrustnGod

I went to therapy and I’m going back August 10

in reply toTrustnGod

I just feel good talking to someone

in reply toTrustnGod

Well I think it’s because I’m really tired and my anxiety goes up when I’m tired I woke up at 2 last night and then went to bed and then woke up and 6 and didn’t go back to bed

in reply toTrustnGod

I just don’t want to die yet I want live out my life to the fullest

in reply toTrustnGod

It just doesn’t feel like it used to feel like like the fear is almost like it might come true

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

I’m glad talking to someone helps. Tbh I think it’s going to take you making peace with death to get over the fear because for it to be such an inevitable thing, we can only accept and take each day and live it to it’s fullest. Are you feeling any alarming symptoms right now?

in reply toTrustnGod

Not really I just sometimes sit quietly to listen to my heart i just get freaked out

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

Is there any reason why that freaks you out?

in reply toTrustnGod

Just because I don’t wanna die I think I will every night

in reply toTrustnGod

My stomach is growing right now but I’m not hungry

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

I mean logically speaking no I don’t think it will. Your stomach is just settling itself. It’s normal for our bodies to make weird sounds. Mine does all the time.

in reply toTrustnGod

It said that if you were like old then dying in your sleep is the best way and will more so happen to them and then it said if you are young it is unlikely to happen

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

Exactly. It’s very unlikely you would unless you had a serious disease you already knew about.

in reply toTrustnGod

Or someone busted in my house and killed me which I don’t live in a place where those are common and I just took my melatonin so I’ll be getting tired soon

in reply toTrustnGod

I think I have a cold I’m cold right now I’m under the covers with a long sleeve shirt and pj pants

in reply toTrustnGod

Would that be serious to dying in my sleep

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

That’s ok. It’s cold season and flu season and allergy season. I wouldn’t be surprised if you had a cold. I don’t think you should think what if I die in my sleep or is it serious if I die in my sleep. You’re only making yourself more scared. Just breathe. You’re going to be ok.

in reply toTrustnGod

If you did I would go crazy your the only one that’s helping me besides the docs

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

If I did what? I think you’re going to be fine honestly. Like you said, you’re young and healthy. You’ve been checked out 3 times. It’s anxiety you have to tell yourself that.

in reply toTrustnGod

If you died in your sleepy would go crazy about it I wouldn’t know what to do

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

Have you thought about incorporating a mindful routine in the night where you wind down enough so you’re less anxious?

in reply toTrustnGod

Well when I get tired I don’t care as much because my anxiety goes down

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

But even before you get tired I think you should do something to help relax yourself.

in reply toTrustnGod

Yes I just kinda sit there and watch my dog run around for about 30 minutes

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

How are you feeling now? I reckon you’re sleeping?

in reply toTrustnGod

Yes I’m sorry I just left you had a pretty good nights sleep

in reply toTrustnGod

With me

in reply toTrustnGod

I’m having a sleep study tonight I’m just scared they will find something

in reply toTrustnGod

Going to sleep study at about 8 o’clock tonight

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

Glad you had a good night sleep. I’ll be praying for you as you go into the sleep study.

in reply toTrustnGod

Yes I will keep you in touch I will be on my phone to talk with you

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

Sounds good. I had surgery today and I’m on pain meds so if I don’t respond I’m just sleeping.

in reply toTrustnGod

Ok

in reply toTrustnGod

Now I’m scared

in reply toTrustnGod

I’m scared they will give me something that will kill me

in reply toTrustnGod

I’m so scared

in reply toTrustnGod

At the lab now I’m so scared that they will give me some medicine that will kill me in my sleep

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

They would never never do that to you believe me on that

in reply toTrustnGod

I sure do hope they don’t

in reply toTrustnGod

They said if it’s sleep apnea then i would come back

They’re doctors. They want to save you, not kill you. They wouldn’t be doing this if anything they’d give you would kill you.

TrustnGod in reply to

Hello MyDogMax. I’m sorry for not replying to you. I’ve been in recovery from my wisdom teeth extraction and I’ve been off my phone due to the pain. I’m doing well otherwise. It sounds like you’re doing much better too! How are things?

in reply toTrustnGod

Good now tonight I just feel like it’s going to be the night I won’t wake up in the morning from

in reply toTrustnGod

This is the worst night out of this week I’m scared

in reply toTrustnGod

I think it’s because I’m tired or something

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

This week, I’ve had a couple of nights like that. There was one night where I kept jolting out of bed, convinced that I was slipping into complete unconsciousness. Honestly I think the only way you’ll ever combat this is if you come to terms with it. Just typing that, I feel hypocritical because I know I haven’t quite come to terms with dying but just accepting it and not constantly thinking about when where why how is going to give you peace. Like I’ve said, I think you’re healthy. I really really do. This isn’t a sign from God as it’s causing you so much fear and that should be reassuring.

in reply toTrustnGod

Yes people say it’s so rare to die young but I just don’t know how young that is like 10-14 or like my age 18

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

Remember this: our bodies are made to last a long time. Most of the time, we are aware at a young age if our bodies have some type of issue that’s going to make it not last as long. Of course as we get older, we can develop things but just as you said, most people do live to be older. If this gives you any form of solace, the Bible says, “As for the days of our life, they contain seventy years, Or if due to strength, eighty years, Yet their pride is but labor and sorrow; For soon it is gone and we fly away.” I do believe you are very young being 18. I’m 20 and I consider that very young. Even people in their 40’s are still referred to as “young”.

in reply toTrustnGod

Oh ok that helped a little bit I read something the other day and it said some girl died in her sleep but it was because of her phone and it was charging and caused her to die In her sleep

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

Oh yes...but realize these odd stories happen once in a blue moon but they’re overly broadcasted because they are so rare and odd. Unfortunately a lot of children whose lives are taken are taken because of accidents that sometimes arise from their inability to use common sense.

in reply toTrustnGod

It said the ages 1-35 die of natural causes

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

But you need to remember these are most likely people whose bodies had problems that weren’t going to allow them to live for long...hence them dying of natural causes whilst being so young.

in reply toTrustnGod

Is it normal to hear your heart without a stethoscope

TrustnGod profile image

in reply toTrustnGod

in reply toTrustnGod

What were you gonna tell me

in reply toTrustnGod

What were you gonna tell me

in reply toTrustnGod

Two most common something

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

The most common causes of death in people your age are accidents (think along the lines of chemical accidents, car accidents, etc), homicide, suicide, cancer, and heart disease. Now, you can pretty much rule all of these out because as we’ve discussed, you’re a healthy individual. Very rarely do people your age just die, as you’ve told me.

in reply toTrustnGod

Yes do you believe that

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

The statistics point to it. That’s not just a random statement my friend. Those are facts so I do believe it.

in reply toTrustnGod

I think I think too much when I’m tired

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

You definitely do. It’s normal though. Have you thought about journaling?

in reply toTrustnGod

Not really

in reply toTrustnGod

I’m scared if I pray for peace it will be mistaken as like peace for dying

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

You should try journaling your thoughts. It helps tremendously. Most of the time, I write them as letters to God so I can acknowledge my exact fears and then pray he takes them away. If you’re scared of that, then be specific! God give me peace so that I may have a sweet sleep tonight and that your goodness my dwell over me so that I can wake up tomorrow.

in reply toTrustnGod

I pray I will wake up more than ever I think I have had worse nights than this

in reply toTrustnGod

Please be honest with me do you think I will die in my sleep?

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

You’re going to be ok. I really don’t think you’re going to. You’re healthy. No sleep apnea 😁 just anxiety. Remember this is anxiety. You have got to tell yourself that.

in reply toTrustnGod

Ok I’m trusting you with everything

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

You cannot trust me. You have got to trust in God. He alone has your entire future right in the palm of His hands. Who better to trust ?

in reply toTrustnGod

God

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

When my anxiety first began this summer and I was terrified of dying constantly, my mom told me this: Lia, sometimes God puts us through things like this so that we can later on help others going through this. So as you sit here and work through your fears remember that you are in the hands of God who has a purpose for your life and plans to help you prosper and give you hope. These fears are only temporary because you will overcome them with God’s help. And when you are victorious over them, you will be able to help others who have the same fear.

in reply toTrustnGod

Just like your doing I text my mom every night asking her if I will wake up in the morning every night the answer so yes same with my dad

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

Wow so you really do live alone at 18? That’s mighty impressive. I told my parents I’m living with them until I’m 40

in reply toTrustnGod

Yes I hope that’s not the problem is living by myself

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

I don’t think it is. You had these same fears when you were with your family a couple weeks ago.

in reply toTrustnGod

It just caught me off guard

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

I feel that. I once had a horrible panic attack while playing candy crush. I went into urgent care and the guy told me “it must’ve been an intense game”. It’s ok that it appeared out of nowhere though. That’s how those crazy things are

in reply toTrustnGod

You there I’m still a little freaked out

TrustnGod in reply to

I am here. What’s going on

in reply toTrustnGod

I feel weird like really weird like I feel like he’s telling me tonight is the night you will come home I think I will die in my sleep tonight

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

2 things:

1. God does not give us a spirit of fear

2. Listen to this video youtu.be/3bl2BSuum2o

in reply toTrustnGod

That helped I will definitely watch that allt

in reply toTrustnGod

I love that video I’m still praying to give me a peaceful mind and that I will wake up in the morning

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

You’ve prayed now don’t worry. Let the fear go. God has got you. As I’ve told you, Jeremiah 29:11

in reply toTrustnGod

I’m still thinking I will though but then after that video I’m a little better

in reply toTrustnGod

I honestly don’t know how to let the fear go

in reply toTrustnGod

I do play games on my phone to get my mind off things I don’t know why I’m so tired when I got 10 hours of sleep

in reply toTrustnGod

I have do therapy and I go back this Thursday

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

The only way to let a fear go is to accept it. You will eventually learn to do that. There is such a thing as oversleeping which causes just as much exhaustion as under sleeping. Also, you go to bed so anxious that your brain is probably wanting extra time to have a break. I’m not surprised. Think of your anxiety as running a marathon. Your brain is running a marathon every single night. Wouldn’t you think it’d be tired?

in reply toTrustnGod

Yes I think earlier just hit me harder than ever I just was like it’s gonna happen for sure tonight but I got over that

in reply toTrustnGod

Doing a little better

in reply toTrustnGod

But I still don’t think I will make it through tonight

in reply toTrustnGod

Like I feel like tonight’s the night I die in my sleep more than ever

in reply toTrustnGod

U there

in reply toTrustnGod

I need someone to talk to

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

I’m here. You’re going to be fine. Watch the video I gave you again.

in reply toTrustnGod

Yes I did my granddad recently died do you think that has to do anything with this

in reply toTrustnGod

Like before my gear

in reply toTrustnGod

Fear

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

When did he pass? I’m so sorry to hear that.

in reply toTrustnGod

He died about two years ago and then I had a tutor that also dies a while back December of last year and my fear kicked in about the end of May my granddad died April of last year

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

Definitely. I would almost guarantee that your fears are from this.

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply toTrustnGod

My uncle unexpectedly passed away in March and every single bit of fear that I have of death began then

in reply toTrustnGod

Ok there’s that phobia thanatophobia

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

Ya. I think you’re on the verge of having that but remember that’s a phobia, and it’s not life threatening. Also, it’s treated through therapy.

in reply toTrustnGod

He’s linking that with other things

in reply toTrustnGod

I just don’t understand how my mom and my dad didn’t get this phobia and my dad was really close to him

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

I think that as you get older, you just kind of accept things like that. My dad’s eldest brother passed away suddenly a couple of years ago from a blood clotting disorder. My dad has the same disorder and he just continues on with life like nothing is wrong. When we’re so young and have so much ahead of us, it’s so difficult to have that fear because we have this sort of FOMO that we’re going to leave behind this great life we didn’t get to live. At this age we also are still going through brain development and we really don’t have common sense until mid 20’s and even later on for men. So when we see facts about how most people our age don’t die and when we’re confirmed to be healthy, our minds can’t process that the doctors are correct, we’re healthy, and there isn’t anything to worry about.

in reply toTrustnGod

Ok I think your right

in reply toTrustnGod

Please be honest I’m probably annoying you with this question do you really think it will happen I’m too scared to trust

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

I’m not going to answer that question for you because I want you to be able to trust God with this.

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply toTrustnGod

And I think you already know what my answer will be based on previous responses.

in reply toTrustnGod

Like when I hear something I am like will this be the last time I hear this or do this I’m scaree

in reply toTrustnGod

Ok so now I’m freaking out I was watching this movie and all of the sudden they were talking about dying in sleep oh my gosh I feel like this is a sign from god that it will be tonight

in reply toTrustnGod

in reply toTrustnGod

Ok

in reply toTrustnGod

I feel like it is a sign from god that was in the movie

in reply toTrustnGod

Do you feel like it’s a sign

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

No I don’t think so. It’s a movie. Had you watched this same movie without such an anxious mind, you would’ve thought nothing of it. God doesn’t give us signs like that often. He made the Bible for a reason. The answers you need will always be in there.

in reply toTrustnGod

Phone number maybe and no first time watching ut

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

Well I’m not really willing to give it out as it would reveal quite a bit of information about me including my location which I prefer to keep private.

in reply toTrustnGod

Ok that’s fine

in reply toTrustnGod

But do you think I will die in my sleep

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

I told you, I’m not answering that anymore. I answered that yesterday. I stand by what I said.

in reply toTrustnGod

Ok I hope your right I really hope I will wake up

in reply toTrustnGod

I think if it this my parents wouldn’t want me living by myself if they thought I was going to die

in reply toTrustnGod

Do you live In the US or like UK

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

Oh ya if you had a serious illness or something, they wouldn’t allow you to. I live in the US of A. You do as well I presume?

in reply toTrustnGod

Yep I do

in reply toTrustnGod

I feel like the closer I get to going to bed I feel a little better

in reply toTrustnGod

So you think it’s because the death of my granddad and my tutor

in reply toTrustnGod

You there Trustngod I’m doing better thoughts still popping up in my head but I just push them away

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

I’m glad to hear that MyDogMax. Btw you can call me Lia haha. Anyway, don’t let those thoughts distract you from living your life. You’ve got this!

in reply toTrustnGod

I’m feeling so much better like I just think of the though as a silly thing now

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

I’m happy you’ve found something that works for you!

in reply toTrustnGod

Yep I am to like just a minute ago I thought about it and laughed because I know there’s no chance of it happening

in reply toTrustnGod

The only time I freak out is when I’m in the shower or riding the lawn mower I don’t know why hahaha

in reply toTrustnGod

Something on television said today surprisingly 1in100,000 people die in their sleep a year being healthy that helped me a lot because I’m healthy and that’s 1 out of 100,000 people

in reply toTrustnGod

I feel descent I have a feeling That the fear will come back soon how have you been doing

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

MyDogMax, I think you’re dealing with your fear the wrong way. I don’t think ignoring it and reasoning through why it won’t happen isn’t going to make it disappear. It’s normal to be fearful of death. It’s something that you can’t avoid. But by accepting that everyone is going to experience it and trusting that God has sovereignty over when that is, we can find a peace with it. God won’t take you a moment too soon or a moment too late. You have to leave that up to him. I know that’s very hard to do because I struggle with it immensely. But that’s the only way you’ll find peace with your fear. Yes you can endlessly google facts and figures and reason why it couldn’t happen, but that’s not going to eliminate your fear.

in reply toTrustnGod

I have a strong feeling I will die in my sleep tonight like strong feeling

in reply toTrustnGod

I think I will die in my sleep I just found out I have REM sleep which leads to a cardiac arrest I’m freaking out right now im literally crying

TrustnGod profile image
TrustnGod in reply to

MyDogMax, REM sleep is essential part of sleep. I’m not sure I understand why you’re so terrified of it. It’s literally the stage of sleep when we dream.

in reply toTrustnGod

Oh I just heard that it can cause a cardiac arrest which freaked me out by the way this is my dog max

No panic attacks can’t kill you. Our bodies can handle a lot before they begin to shut down, especially if you’re healthy.

Yes and if our bodies couldn’t handle much then half the worlds population would be dead by now
