Freaking out....here comes the endoscopy :(

Hey everyone,I have 4 hours before I go in for my endoscopy. I'm a ball off nervous, most of you know a have anxiety...well they are horrible right now. I haven't slept in almost 48 hours,I keep thinking about the risks,my husband and children. The nurse said I would have a twilight sleep, so I shouldn't feel or know anything or so she says. I'm not convinced... For those who pray,please pay for me. For those who dont pray or believe in prayer,wish me luck. Ive never had much luck except my husband and children. Thanks. I love you all!!!

Hi, I am an anxiety sufferer and I had three or four endoscopies without anesthetic or tranquilizer. Normally they are very quick and once the even took a biopsy from the stomach. What really did help was the doctor, he was lovely if it would have been a horrible, unfriendly doctor I wouldn't have dealt as good

Thank you star68,I must say u are braver than I. I made it through it and don't even remember any of it but they had to give me something to calm when I got there because I was so worked up that my heart rate was 140

Well, I must say when they put me in the recovery room I managed to have a peek at the monitor and my heart rate was 129 bpm, I was very nervous too, but I needed to have it done.

I know how you feel star68. When I went in my heart rate was 148 bpm,they had to give me something to calm down.
