Hello, I was wondering if anyone could help me. End of last year I had a load of tests done on my heart. They found my heart was structurally normal with a normal rhythm apart from ectopic beats. The cardiologist told me they are normal and not to worry but I have been on google recently and read that they can cause cardiac arrest 😞 I am no panicking soo much

Ectopic beats
Never ever go on google.everything is either cancer, dying or heart attacks.
I know it’s hard but i now done google anything.it does absolutely no good at all and makes things 10 times worse.
I have racing heart and ectopic everyday.although now I’m on propranolol the ectopics are way less.infact some days I don’t feel any.
I promise you are okay.and it’s nervous illness that you have been told you have.you will be okay no matter how scary these symptoms get.always here if you want a chat x
Thank you so much this is very helpful! I get the ectopic beats every day!! X
Before the propranolol I had them alllll the time!plus a crazy heart rate(had lots of tests and all anxiety/panic) it’s so horrible and so hard to rationalise.if doctors thought for a second you were in danger you would be in hospital for treatment.my mum has heart disease and angina and has never had an ectopic in her life! And now with treatment lives a way better life than most people I know!
I honestly think anxiety symptoms can be more troublesome than actual heart problems!!! X
I completely agree with Minnie87 as I have the same thing and have been through the tests as well. It's what we usually refer to as "skipped beats" although they don't really skip, it's just a slight extra beat. PLEASE DON'T GOOGLE. Dr Google is the worst ever. If your doctor has given you the all clear, don't worry. You're fine.
Sorry guys I know this post was a while ago but what are ectopic beats? I get extra beats when I lean back in my chair my heart goes funny and as soon as I sit up it’s goes to normal is that the same as ectopic beats?
