Can anyone give any reassurance on their experiences with ectopic beats , there are some older posts where people have been suffering and I wondered if they could update on them getting better. They are driving me mad today and I just need to get through today. Of course anxiety is ering them going.

Ectopic beats
Hi I suffer with these too. If you have a look at Sanjay Gupta on anxiety and ectopic beats on YouTube it is quite reassuring .Everyone gets ectopic beats but people with anxiety notice them more
I used to get them occasionally but they have become more in the last week. I can feel them all day. Strangley they got worse after I had been for the echocardiogram. I was getting anxious in case they found anything and now even though the results were eventually fine I still have them. I keep worrying that because they werent there when I had the test they wouldnt have picked it up
Yes I'm the same I've had an echocardiogram and told all ok but still worry .Also think about getting them I get them worse I think. Do you feel a thud with them?
Diid yours show up on the echo ? I wasnt having them at the time and am now thinking thats why thry said it was ok. Do u take any medication that helps ? X
No I wasn't having them either but I had a 48 hour ecg which picked them up and saw cardiologist and they told me it's benign ectopic beats .they can feel like a thud or flutter at times . If I'm getting them bad they gave me propranolol 10mg but don't take it often as my blood pressure low anyway .i feel the same x
Hi
I also have been getting these since January this year and they’re worrying me so much - i also suffer with severe health anxiety so hoping these are just another side effect and nothing more. I too had an echo a couple of months ago which was completely normal. Had 2 24hr tapes now and both have picked up ectopic beats - around 200 the first time but apparently all benign with a regular sinus rhythm (not sure what that means) - basically doctors aren’t worried and put it down to anxiety as it can make them worse - doesn’t explain why they started to begin with though... Like you, I seem to get a LOT more after I’ve had tests/monitors done which is really frustrating as I’d much rather have the bad days recorded but not sure what can be done about that. I seem to have them for a week or 2 and then they calm down (go unnoticed) and then flare up again. My GP has given me propranolol but I’ve not tried it yet as I don’t like taking meds in case they give me worse side effects. Very fed up with them - also get the flutters and thuds when they happen and it just worries me sick! Everyone says they’re harmless and common but try telling that to someone who has very bad health anxiety!!
How long have to had them and could i ask how old you are? People say they have them for years - really hoping mine will go away soon!!
I am 62 really noticed them after xmas after 2 really stressful years. They got much worse after Id had tests and was waiting for results of echo. I got ridiculously anxious and told the cardiologist they were happening all the time when I went for the echo results. He wasn't bothered as the echo was fine. But I tried to explain they werent bad on that day. I have other health issues which are giving me anxiety so its escalating. I tried the beta blocker once and felt ill do didn't take it again as it was take as needed for anxiety. I might ask for the monitor but I suspect it will make me more anxious x
I've had anxiety for 30+ years and was diagnosed with ectopic beats as well. Doctors I've been too have done tests and all said they're benign but that I notice them much more when I'm under stress or anxiety is amped which lately has been pretty much constant.
Me too and then they themselves make u anxiou x
