I went to the gym, worked out, but now when my heart beats fast... I panic. I can't even enjoy work outs like I use to.

I went to the gym
Me too Lalakeyss!!! I miss working out so bad! I have always loved going to the gym! My cardiologist says my heart is ok, but it FEELS so wrong. It goes too fast, skips beats and won't slow down like it used to.
I knowww!! I always get an EKG and my heart is fine but like you feel, it doesn't feel fine. Ugh. The struggle
I have the same issue and im gaining waight because of it
I was like this until I took Magnesium it helped me calm down abit and also gave me more energy to do more of a better workout.
But Tim, that makes me wonder of yours was not as bad or if I'm not taking enough magnesium! I haven't been able to work out for 2 years now, since all this started. I do walk half a mile-a mile on most days when I feel up to it. But, for example, I tried going to the gym over the summer, and just warming up at a brisk pace on the tread mill for 15 mins had my heart going in the 150s, I felt panicky, so I stopped, tried to distract, walked around, it wouldn't slow down and kept skipping or fluttering. I told myself my dr said my heart was fine, so I tried to ignore it, but my legs felt weak and I felt anxious. I did a few sets with light weight on a few machines, aware of my heart overworking if I strained at all. I felt so abnormally out of breath that I finally gave up. I looked at the racquetball court and dreamed of the good ol' days. I felt like crying. Heart pounding away in my chest. I am 51, but it's not age that's the problem, because before this anxiety hit, I was working out fine and riding my bike 10 miles some days! I take 1 Jigsaw magnesium tablet every night, 500mg mag malate. Do I need more?
Well I'm 50, maybe watch the video I have posted and let a man who knows explain it to you. They're different types and the best two are glycinate and taurate try either of those.
My doctor said magnesium is ok but to be careful because to much can cause your heart to flutter or bear to fast. I know it's over the counter but you might want to discuss it with your doctor.
my heart used to do the same thing. It would beat so fast and I would lose my breath for most of my workout. It was like this for a long time. I don't know how I got through it. I Just kept going and eventually it stopped happening.
I love to work out, I don't go to the gym. ever since I had been diagnosed With anxiety I have yet to do so , wen I do i want things to go well. As for yourself I think you are doing great . I say just think positive thoughts while working out so you won't panic as much
Yes. Thank you. What gets me through it is that I just "do it" and nothing happens to me. Sure my heart beats fast for a couple of minutes but that's because I've worked out. So when I look at it like that, it makes a world of difference and I'm able to get through them. I feel so much better in the end. You will get back to working out, I believe in you!!! ❤️
