Hi everyone, so basically I have been having many symptoms for 2 years now, the worst of them being anhedonia (namely severe loss of motivation), brain fog, and chest pressure/palpitations. I can hardly read or do anything without my chest feeling pressure/palpitations and am just generally much slower than I have been in the past, which lead me to drop out of school this semester. I am also always short of breath, depressed, and nervous and have anxiety about everything. The pressure in my chest is constant and the palpitations pretty much get triggered when I wake up, and when I undergo any sort of physical or mental stress. I'm pretty much in a state of chronic stress, and I've had hair loss all over my body, namely scalp, pubic, and armpit areas (21 years old male by the way). I used to get relief from exercise but now I just get the aforementioned palpitations to such an extreme, as well as bruises under my knees whenever I run. Other symptoms include constant urge to take a deep breath, extreme fatigue (constant impulsive urge to lie down) and difficulty getting up in the morning, migraines, dandruff/ dry skin), muscle aches and pains, and back pain (diagnosed with scoliosis).
I've tried psychiatric medications for depression, anxiety, and adhd, none of which worked whatsoever. I've been tested for everything (cardiological, neurological, pulmonological, etc). I am so fatigued that I tested positive for narcolepsy, but the medication did not work. the only thing that came up was that my morning cortisol was lower-end normal (5.4, normal range was 5-25), and morning acth was high (110, range was <46). I understand that high acth can be caused by chronic stress, but should I maybe get a second opinion from another endocrinologist, as this past one was extremely dismissive of my symptoms despite their debilitating nature. If not, do you have any suggestions based on your own experiences? Thank you so so much in advance.
