Pulling/Churning feeling in chest

Hello everyone. So I've been having this pulling/churning feeling in my chest. It comes and goes. Every time I get them they usually last for a second and go away, sometimes they come more frequently. Today I had one that lasted for 5 seconds and sent me into a full blown panic attack. Went to a cardiologist had a CT scan of my heart and holter monitor for 24 hours. Doctor said everything is fine and it's stress and anxiety. Not sure if this is something else (gastro related) or just heart palpitations. They also come after I drink a lot of alcohol, the next day I get them. Any input or if anyone else feels this way. Need to put my mind at ease.

Do you mean in your chest ? Or in your stomach ?

The two are different.

What do you mean by churning? I get like a buzz like feeling in mine, not painful, but driving me nuts. Seen cardio everything fine, said might be gastrointestinal also, also get them everyday , but I've notice if I'm busy, I don't feel it🤔

It feels like something is pulling in my chest, almost like a heart palpitation. I've never had them before I had my panic attacks. Doctor said that its probably anxiety. Its hard to explain but it feels like someone is tearing my chest apart, just a very uncomfortable feeling.

Have you looked online for an explanation ?

yea it could be anything. Esophagus spasm, or some type of chest spasm or heart palpitations. They come randomly, sometimes after I eat or if I have anxiety.

I've just looked up easophagal spasms....sounds like it might be that..there are two types and one is linked to anxiety........look it up....there is treatment..,and see a different GP !

I have never heard of "churning" but I have palpitations daily, it just feels like my heart skipped or added a beat. Mine is due to stress and anxiety, yours probably is too. New feelings come with anxiety everyday. I would suggest going back to your doctor to get checked again to be sure.

It feels more like a spasm, I told my doctor about it but he thinks that it's anxiety based. I guess I could ask him again and see what he says.

Well, lots of different chest sensations come with anxiety, it gets worse when you keep thinking about it and worrying about it. When you ask your doctor again and he tells you it's only anxiety then you can be assured its only anxiety causing it. If they have already tested everything and results are normal than you can already be assured its only anxiety.

yea it just freaks me out, I had a bad one this week that lasted for like 5 seconds. But when I stay calm they tend to go away so hopefully its just anxiety.

I'm sure it's only anxiety, it happens to me too. Just have to stay calm and let it pass. I have heard that it's much easier to give in and let it pass then to try to fight it because fighting it gives it more power and makes it worse.

Can you breathe or do you find it difficult to breath when it happens? Are you feeling better bc I just realized your last post was weeks ago...I hope you are!

U probably having withdrawals from drinking. And if u having hangovers after drinking u probably dehydrated and if u dehydrated u need more than water to help u get all your vitamins you lost while drinking.

Yea I think I'm gonna stay away from alcohol for a while. It makes my anxiety worse.

Great idea. I stopped drinking alcohol about 2 months ago because the aftermath was always really bad anxiety that lasted for days. Hydrate!
