Does someone has this feeling that objects are closer than they are?

Everything looks so unreal, people, objects. I look like I want to see through them

When I look with my peripheral vision I have a feeling things are closer than they actually are.

Yes! I definitely think the same thing. I feel like a dream like state or I'm very high and objects are closer or just weird. There have been many posts here that call it derealization. It could be chemicals released in your body as a defense mechanism. I've had many tests, EKGs, neurologist and a MRI on my brain. Of course Drs tell me all is normal. I was put on propranolol 10mg a day helps the anxiety but not the derealization..There has to be an answer or a way to get rid of it...

My anxiety is not that severe now.

It happens in the evenings when I come after work.

I didn't take any medicine as I don't like the effect the have.

Yeah I get that. I don't like meds either. I'm okay during the day at work but I too start to get it by the end of the day when I get home..I think its working on my computer all day sitting in a cube..That's not healthy..I see people like my mom and relatives who are in their 80's and late 70s still the same as they were when I was growing up. None of them worked on computers all day..they worked hard more physical jobs..I asked them what is the key to living longer..eat good, do things that make you happy, enjoy every moment of life and laugh alot. drink plenty of wine too...Is it that simple?

I think yes, because they are living proof that it is so.

What I can suggest is to optimize your work, but I am sure you already do it.

In my case, I don't have a from 9 to 5. I teach part time ( do not spend on my computer), but in rest I work on computer.

Dedicate time to your hobbies. I enjoy writing. And for that I also need my computer or smartphone.

I wonder if there are such notebooks where you can write with your hand, but then it all transforms in computer letters.

I try to but I have so many projects that keep coming in sometimes overwhelming. Mmmm..You might be on to something there with a notebook writer..I play guitar as much as possible. It helps me focus. I do travel, enjoy outdoors, movies, get involved with charity events. Mostly get a good night sleep rarely get interrupted so when I wake up I start out thinking this is going to be a good day...Thanks for sharing your thoughts...I feel really good right now..you do the same...

You play guitar? That's amazing. I as well.

I also have many projects I want to enjoy.

I just have this strange thing that came with the anxiety. I have to be in a sad mood. When I feel sad, I feel anxious.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts! Take care!
