I’m so confused I’m have ckd heart problems & osteoporosis have B12 injections . My real worry is that the pain clinic wants to cut back my painkillers 25 mg of oxynorm trough our the day. Because she said my kidney function would drop & I would die . But my kidney specialist is happy with what I’m doing & cardiologist plus my GP. I’m really worried now .sorry to rant on. I’m on antidepressants also, once again sorry,

So sorry to hear your worries. I believe it is very important not to have a high dose of pain killers because they are addictive as well as the worry about kidney function.
What sort of pain are you experiencing. You have my sympathy, it must be so hard to suffer pain.
I really hope things start to improve for you soon.
Thank you for your reply. I’m in a lot of pain &trying very hard to go on I take oxynorm 25 mg. per day +paracetamol my GP plus kidney specialists &cardioligist all Agee I’m stable ,appreciate I cannot take any other painkillers because of my kidneys .Im 81 and coping But this pain management Dr. Wants me to cut back on oxynorm ( go to fental patches) . I have a pacemaker &as I said before my iron is controlled by vitamin B 12 every 3 months with the pain from aritheritis & osteoporosis curvature of the spine,it’s also hydrothoism blood pressure on medication for ! it’s all getting to much for me . I don’t see why the pain management ,can’t just leave me get along with the specialist in there field ,surly if they are satisfied I’m everything is stable ,it should be what counts ,I couldn’t sleep las night thinking about her letter. I’m sorry to go on Kim but it’s kind of you to be interested enough to reply &for me to have someone to talk to.
Always feel free to message me and I will reply. It must be so difficult to keep on suffering pain. At 81 I agree you should be able to take the risk of reducing kidney function and keep taking your pain killers at the same dosage. Can you talk to your GP and tell them how you are feeling. I think they will understand and may be able to help the situation.
