Oxynorm

Thankfully I recently changed to a massively better GP and also have a new lovely pain consultant have between them issued the Tramadol and Oxynorm.

So in the meantime I would love to hear your thoughts on Oxynorm as pain relief for brutal endometriosis. It's helping reasonably well for me (though not fully I may add) Many thanks in advance

OXYCODINE I am taking regular Oxynorm could this be causing rls?

My doctor has said it would be good for me to still come off gradually with the help of Oxynorm to control pain. I am a bit worried about doing this as l might be stuck on Oxynorm then. Has anyone else done this?. I would appreciate your advice. Many thanks.

I made a straight switch, (with a 12 or so hour break from Oxynorm) and so far everything is very positive. After many years of broken sleep, say around 4/5 hours a night, I can now sleep 6/7 hours straight. Amazing! The instructions in the box say that the drug lasts 6 - 8 hours.

He had his Zometa the same day as the last blood transfusion and while he does tend to suffer with pain flare up to 7/8 days post zometa - this month though his pain was very bad, they had to increase his Oxycontin & oxynorm.

From 2am to 8am I have tried ibuprofen to no avail and my consultant has prescribed OxyNorm for night time use which has had zero effect. So far only staying up standing during this time makes the pain anywhere near bearable and so I’m suffering terrible sleep deprivation.

He is also on Oxycontin 40mg /oxynorm 10mg amatrypaline 25mg / Stillnoct 20mg. 9 sessions of doxetal chemo from Oct - Feb (final 2 doses reduced due to nuropathy)

He is on oxycodone 15mg morning & night plus 5mg oxynorm for Break through pain up to 3 times daily. This has had to be increased to 10mg for the week after his Zometa as the pain in his hip & leg is so severe. This month his shoulder is also bad.

The most dreadful pain from the gas they inflate abdomen with it hurts to breathe,apparently its Phrenic nerve inflamation they just gave me Oxynorm which is scarry. I m afraid the pain will trigger afib (I had abl no3 last July) any ideas for this scaredy cat Im feeling very sorry for myself.

I was currently taking 90mg twice daily of modified release and 10mg of oxynorm immediate release 5x daily.

I had to add some OxyNorm to the fentanyl to get the pain down to a controllable level. The third day seemed like a miracle – no pain, feeling a little euphoric, but after that the days were fairly mixed in terms of pain and mobility.

16 years ago had new left hip short while after because of the pain found muscle not stitched still pain another op they fitted wrong joint still pain GP update to 220 OxyContin &160 oxynorm when’s private found extensive nerve damage had spinal implant left knee replaced then infected clean out 3 weeks

Hi ,I’m 82 and have been on oxynorm for many years ,I’m allowed 25 mgs daily but can’t help myself ,sometimes I take extra ,I have ckd / heart problems with pacemaker ,also chronic osteoporosis .im so tired of it all ,need someone to talk to how they coped . Keep safe Peggy ❤️

Hi just been to the doctors today got these for the pain was talking about oxynorm but doctor said these are better as there slow release.... anyone had experience with these .... at all ...

I'm now taking Oxycodone (Longtec), naproxen, paracetamol, amitriptyline, fultium-d3 and oxynorm liquid too. I'm now at the point I'm struggling at work, struggling at home trying to sleep and I'm waiting on being referred to the pain clinic.

I am also a type 1 diabetic but getting the same symptoms as pre op and currently on oramorph and oxynorm which whilst on this I don't feel my hypos. Which I am struggling to deal with daily life and worried endometriosis has come back or I have more adhesions.

We’ve had some singing and some gobbledygook and I have gone back to being called ‘mum’ again 🤣🤦‍♀️ He has been prescribed oxynorm liquid and diazepam as well as Co-codamol 30/500 - he is totally off his trolley - even though I am still a RN (I am Not working as we are just waiting for him to get worse

Has anyone successfully reduced oxynorm (morphine ) to maybe 20 mg daily from 30mg daily .thank you .peggy ❤️
