Need advice please

Well my nose is completely blocked so I read to do a nasal irrigation I flushed one nostril out fine but when I did the other nostril it went up my nose instead of out the other side??? Now I’m panicking because i got a instant pain in my eye has anyone else dose a nasal irrigation and some has excepted amd not come out I’ve just read that if there’s a parasite in the water in can give me a deadly brain infection so now I’m worried sick that I’ve done something I shouldn’t of I’ve only ever done one before and it was fine but abit of this. Going up and not coming down has petrified me any advice is greatly appreciated I won’t be doing that again that’s for sure I’m full of panic now

Hi Nat,

I do the nasal rinse too several times a year. I remember several times that has happened to me. I'd do the one side and then the other and it would do the same. It's been since last year but it has happened to me to, not coming out other nostril. I can't remember if you're suppose to keep mouth open so.that it will flow all the way thru. But I had mine closed and it and went nowhere. I thot I was going to drown. Lol. I was fine just pain in the head for awhile. You should be ok. If it persist maybe as precautionary call doctor but you'll probably have pain for a bit.

I think I closed my mouth too it just worried me it was only a small amount but I felt it go behind my eye socket hopefully it. Should calm down but I googled it like a fool that’s when it came up with the deadly brain infection so my anxiety kicked straight in with the hot sweats we a right pair ain’t we xx that’s for easing my mind I’ve been so anxious for the last hour xx

Google is bad for us. Too many things listed that could be wrong with us. Hate it when that happens. Sorry you went thru all that.Love you Nat!!❤
