Hi I'm new here and I'll try to update my profile when i can. I've been living with anxiety for a little over a year now. I'd like to understand why is there no cure or permanent solution to help alleviate symptoms so that people will no longer struggle?
I get that we need anxiety to survive because it's an instinct. But what about abnormal anxiety? When it's irrational and disrupts your life? How come there's no solid treatment out there? Seems like it's meant for us to deal with this until the day we leave this existence.

Hi mbois whilst there is maybe no permanent treatment for anxiety there are treatments that allows the person to have a coping strategy that is tailored to that person! Anxiety is a cruel condition that can Rob a person of there dignity any one with anxiety should seek treatment at the earliest time they can take care david
Anxiety develops in people for many different reasons. As you said it usually a perfectly normal reaction to stress. However, sometimes we get triggered so bad that it causes us to constantly be in the state for other situations. It like leaving a light on during the day even though you want to turn it off. Unfortunately, those of us that struggle with it dont always find the right treatment for our condition. Everyone is different. Some need meds, some need therapy, some need exercise, some need natural relief. You have to find what works for you. I like at those of us with anxiety as just more sensitive to our body sensations and this causes the panic/anxiety attacks. Acceptance is key and also managing the symptoms as best we can to feel more relaxed. I know some have said it goes away, but it never really leaves--- it maybe just managed and quiet for now. Good luck and you are not alone!
Hang on. You are not alone and it will become less of a problem when you realize you can control it. Eliminate the stress (people, circumstances, etc) in your life if you can. Don't let what people say or do bother you. They can not change your character. Do not compare yourself to others or accept others who might do that. Think about the good things that are right/good in your life. Don't try to control others, unless they are your children who need strong guidance. You can not change how people behave but you can control how you react.
