Don't know why but I lately wake up with either my right or left hands completely numb especially my ring fingers and pinkies. I start moving my hands and they slowly feel normal again. I thought maybe its bad circulation but it doesn't matter in what position I lay it still happens.
Does any one have this symptoms?

For the first time today. Woke up this morning and my right hand on my ring finger and little finger. Could just be a coincidence tho as it hasn't happened before. I thought I must have had it bent funny when asleep. My feet seem to get pins and needles a lot more easily than they did before this started too x
The rational part of my head tries very hard to shout down the anxious part - it's like having two people living in there. The thought appears then I start to challenge it andrationalise it. Sometimes it's impossible and the thoughts are too much.
I was telling myself it's how I've slept or I have been panicky whilst asleep (don't know if I have or not) and it's caused this because I have been breathing too fast. I'm pretty sure it's anxiety but I think Like you, if it kept happening I'd speak to the Dr to put my mind at ease x
I've had this for years X since I started with anxiety X it seems to be a symptom of anxiety don't ask me why lol x just another thing our bodies do when we are worked up and even asleep lol x no matter which way I sleep I always have it but after moving my hand it goes back to normal x
Hi, I've had this problem for years. Woke up this morning with it being just my left hand. Pins and needles and numbness. I was diagnosed with carpal tunnel of both hands years ago. There is a main nerve that goes from the wrist to the outer fingers that gets irritated and causes these symptoms. When you're anxious you never really relax while sleeping. I have caught myself putting my hands into a fetal position which of course puts undo pressure on that nerve. You could wear a hand splint everynight which will help or just shake your hands and move on with the day and it will go away.
There are times that when picking up something heavy sends a lightning bolt shock wave from my wrist down to my hand. I haven't found it to be a circulation problem at this time.
