Hi

I was on citalpram for 26 years after suffering with my first child. I came off them and went onto Prozac for 5 months they were awful - I have just started citalapram 20mg and feel absolutely washed out, it’s been 2 weeks. Today I upped to 30 hoping I would regain my spring in my step is this normal as I cannot remember 27 years ago?

I agree, Prozac made me feel horrible. I had every side effect imaginable. Citalopram took about 2 1/2 weeks for me to get over the tired feeling. I also began taking them at night so I slept off the worst of the tiredness. Maybe give that a shot for a few days?

I took Prozac, one tablet once when i was about 19/20, never took any meds for anxiety etc again, it was horrible.

Hi , I’ve been on and off citalipram for around 15 years .. always feel rubbish when I start again but it doesn’t usually take long and I’m always put on a low dose then build up .. try and ride it out if you can , it will start to get better.

Even though I’m aware of anxiety and all it’s signs and symptoms I still believe that somewhere I’ve an imbalance and the tablets help to even that out ! ( my journey, if you can call it that started after the birth of my second child ) I believe I suffered and imbalance in a chemical and have suffered on and off since.

I have leaner to cope mostly with lots of support from family and believing that most anxiety symptoms can be elevated through acceptance. Good luck on your journey.

Hi, yeah, takes a good month to fully settle.

Tiredness, dizziness etc all subsided after a while.

All the best.

I started citralopam 8 days ago, 10mg dose. All I've done for 8 days is sit on my bum !!! I just can't be bothered to do anything, even getting a shower is a massive effort. I'm normally here there and everywhere, how long should we give it before we go back and say these don't seem to be working ?? Maybe we can follow each other on here and see how we go

Hi I started citalopram a month ago I was exactly the same everything was an effort even going shopping the tired ness is much better. I’m having to be very careful with what Iveat because you do put weight on with them. I agree about following each other it would be good.

I’m still having a lot of anxiety on this med and I’m not able to think clearly at times but it gets better throughout the day! Not sure if this is normal?? Hope things are going better for you?
