Hardly slept. Body is so tense
And it would be Amytat. Rem sleep is so important in regenerating the muscles during the night. Have you tried using relaxation methods when first getting in bed. It could set the pattern for a good night's sleep by erasing the ruminating thoughts in your mind of the day's events. Deep Breathing will also quiet your mind which will give your body a chance to relax and restore your energy. Once you have lost a night's sleep you more or less have to bare the symptoms the next day. Wishing you a more restful night tonight. xx
Thank you. It's so tense like something bad is gonna happen. I tried to sleep but wake up after 5min
Do you have a lot on your mind before going to sleep? What you are feeling is adrenaline still present in your body although the levels of adrenaline go down throughout the day. There is something called "free floating anxiety" where the adrenaline never seems to drop below a certain level. All this is caused from severe chronic stress. As long as the adrenaline is present, it can be stirred up by a thought, a sound even a smell.
I understand what you are saying, it's like you are waiting for the other shoe to drop. Find a way to expel these fears because they will only feed upon each other if you don't. Clear your mind of that thought of something bad about to happen. Breathe and relax you muscles starting from the tips of your toes to the top of your head. Deep breathing the tenseness away will reduce the adrenaline as well as the fear. You can find some great muscle relaxation videos on YouTube. xx
Try taking a warm relaxing bath with epsom salt and some essential oils! take deep breaths and try some mindfulness, if you haven't heard of it i would try researching about it and getting the headspace app also i take melatonin to help me calm down and to sleep right before i go to bed.
I find that lavender spray and listening to white noise on a low volume really helps me in getting to sleep and calming me down
It's a horrible feeling, isn't it Amytat? My anxiety levels are through the roof at the moment, I had a 2 hour night the other night and the feeling Agora describes so well was so hard to bear through the day. I had to go to the doctor and am reluctantly now taking Lorazepam so my latest fear us that I'm going to get addicted! I have signed up for the Pacifica app, I'm going to try their methods based on CBT to help my mental and emotional state and hope to cut down on the Lorazepam before I get hooked. I wish you well, hope you sleep soon, there's nothing worse than that feeling after such a bad night.
mayb try some chamomile tea before bed it always relax me
