I haven't felt anxious lately but I keep getting weird symptoms. When I go to bed at night or when I awaken during the night get a tingling in my upper arms and then a hot flash. Only happens at night. Everything I googled suggested anxiety but I don't feel anxious. It's not menopause because I'm way past that as I am 70 years old. I do suffer from extreme health anxiety as of course any ache pain or weird feeling is always fatal to me and I will spend days googling. I do suffer from insomnia also. Can these symptoms be from anxiety even though I'm not going through any health anxiety at the moment. I

Health anxiety
I believe they are. I too suffer from health anxiety and when I wake up in the middle of the night I get hot flashes as well. I recommend looking up how to sleep better. It gives you different methods on how to make your room comfortable so that you can sleep the whole night and also gives you relaxation tips before you go to bed, hope this helps you.
I tried them all, I listen to soft music, tried the mediation apps. Since my anxiety is not as high as it was I am sleeping better, but I still wake up at 4-5 times a night and rarely can is sleep past 6. I do take melatonin and .25 xanax before bed which helps. My concern is that right now I dont really feel anxious and why then would I get his symptoms. Anxiety truly is the pits.
The symptoms come out of nowhere , I get symptoms all the time without feeling anxiety. Have you tried relaxation techniques? Google "how to sleep better" . It will give you some tips on making your room comfortable for a good night's sleep as well as some natural relaxation methods you can do before you go to bed.
I suffer from this. Literally just 1 hour ago I got strange shooting pain from shoulder down to bicep in left arm. Guess what anxiety makes you think since I used to google? I try not to care, difficult I know but I try my best after I had a great day. Trying not ruined it.
Google is my downfall. Last year I was going through extreme health anxiety thinking I had colon cancer and I would google constantly, evening waking up at 2 in morning. Went for my colonscopy and thank god all was right and since then my anxiety has been decreasing, but I think sub consciously I must still be anxious as I do google all the time. Like I said I have googled my symptoms. through WebMD and other sites and it all seems to point to anxiety. The tingling is a symptom of MS but I don't have any other symptoms so I trying to stay calm with that one. I hate this
Tingling may also be a culprit of smoking, if you smoke.
It happens to me too. I get burning in my arms and across my chest almost like waves running through me. I just try a lot of self talk through it telling myself that I am not going to die and force myself back to sleep. Good luck.
