Magnesium glycinate

NewUserx profile image
15 Replies

Iv been trying to find some ways to relieve my anxiety a bit without taking prescribed medication.

I have started taking magnesium glycinate it’s only been two days so I know I won’t notice any difference for a few weeks.

Do they help with anxiety? Has anyone else had any relief with them?

I know they won’t work miracles but if they take the edge off then I will be happy.

Thanks in advance.

Hi

I never took any medication for my anxiety and depression I suffered in the past. Looking for ' some thing' to help is not necessary.

If you are looking for relief from your anxiety ( which is a symptom of thinking too much about things that might not happen in the future), then the best way is to learn about where all humane experience comes from.

I can help with that

Hi

From my understanding and what I know to be true is that a feeling of anxiety comes from our thoughts about an event in the future that hasn't happened and most likely never will.

We just use our creative imagination to scare ourselves into believing something that we don't like is real, and this overthinking causes the feelings. Our thinking creates the feeling. We are unsure because we live in an outside in world, but in reality it's an inside out experience.

Changing the mindset is where the realisation will take place

🙂

I don’t have anything that I am worried about in the future? I am never free from my anxiety. It’s always there 24.7 I always feel dizzy. Sick. Scared.

I only have to walk up the stairs and my heart starts racing like iv ran a marathon.

I hate feeling like this. I try to be positive but nothing seems to help.

It's all about thinking less, eat well, stay active, be positive.

When you have a negative thought, let it go, forgive yourself and forget the negative thoughts.

Calm the mind, with nature, walking, exercise, music, pets etc.

Learn to relax more, daily.

Focus your thoughts on helping others.

Do you drink a lot of coffee or have stimulants that stop you from relaxing?

Thank you so much for the advice.

No I don’t drink coffee and I try to avoid caffeine drinks but I don’t really eat healthy. So I might be feeling worse because Of that too.

We only have 1 body, we have to look after it.

Whereas we have 2 minds, 1 we have to look after, the other looks after us

Hi NewUserx,

Magnesium is needed by the body for 300 processes it performs including muscle and nerve function. It has a relaxing effect on the central nervous system, so if you are deficient, which most people are now a days due to over farming, pesticides etc) it can help knock the edge off. It really helps my son.
