I have very severe depression now, I have had a complete loss of appetite, so I'm dropping weight fast, it's like the look of food is sickening to me. I had to go to the er yesterday because I felt like I was gonna pass out, they did blood work and urine sample and everything came back normal, doctor said I had trace amounts of ketones. I am dropping weight so fast, how am I supposed to eat when food is sickening to me?

What do I do?
Don't go to the ER for anything other than an obvious issue. They will reject you everytime and those charges are astronomical. You've gotta get insurance somehow and get treated by a doctor and get referred to a specialist or surgeon.
Hi Carrie! I highly suggest an appointment with your doctor ASAP. You need to eat, it’s essential. Maybe you need to talk to a counselor about your depression.
Carrie, you have to force yourself to eat as if your life depended on it because it does. No matter how 'sickening' food appears to be you must nibble away at some least unpalatable food like bananas, peanut butter, ice cream: anything thats got calories going for it. Sorry but you really must bacause no human being can function for long without food.
And you should take a good broad spectrum multi vitamin supplement, that's very important.
Is your stomach upset for some other reason?
Your doctor may change ur meds that may increase appetite,so go ti ur doc ASAP.
There was a period I didn’t get out of bed for 3 straight days and I didn’t eat, I understand not wanting to eat but it scared the crap out of my roommates, try toast with butter or peanut butter, sometimes it took me 20 minutes to eat just one piece but it did make me feel a lot better in the end
I'm like that when I'm having anxiety, I'm 63 for someone my age it is very difficult to lose weight, when I'm having anxiety not eating is so easy, the thought of eating makes me ill.
I get scared I get shaky and feel like fainting. I've gone two days eating one egg and a cup of V8 juice I forced myself to do it because I don't want to end up in the emergency room. I try hard to get my anxiety under control.
These past couple of days my eating has improved but then when I start eating more I get a stomach ache.
Have you seek counseling? cuz they can help and put you on medication?
Maybe you could try blending fruits and veggies? That is better than nothing and could be easier to consume. You could also snack on nuts or dates until your appetite comes back. Try to be positive and keep reminding yourself that the blood results and other tests are normal, and keep telling yourself you are fine and healthy. From what I understand, apparently positivity helps in healing. ☺
