Honestly every single person is different my step dads has been high for years like 170. Everyone it’s different sometimes mine is lower sometimes higher it’s been like that for years , everything you do like eating/moving affects it up and down

That's not a bad number at all. Your pulse naturally goes up after you eat to help your body fuel digestion. Normal pulse range is considered 60 to 100 beats per minute so you're inside that range too. You're a-okay! Enjoy the rest of your afternoon.

I'm positive you're fine. Just anxious.

You’re fine, thinking about it makes it worse

Well actually, that reading is good ! ! ! ! Unless you are sleeping then you would expect it to be lower. You do realise that even the process of eating and drinking makes blood pressure and heart rise. Doctors usually take three readings in their surgery, and it's usually the third reading that is the lowest. They wait for us to relax a bit and to be a bit distracted while they fiddle with taking readings. The body needs a bigger surge to cope with digestion. I was being treated for a fear of flying problem and my psychologist organised a short trip which was for about 2 hours, and when the boarding call came through, he leaned over and felt for my heart rate......it was 80. He shook his head in disbelief. I for one thought it was pounding and was dangerously high. Hyper vigilance is the worst part of it all, one minute the heart beat feels fast, next time the next beats feel slower...... well that's what it does. Just walking up my stairs can make it go from a relaxed state of around 60 then when I go upstairs it can be 90 or 100. Well der, it has to beat faster to get oxygen through the blood to the brain and back again. Otherwise I would puff and pant going up if it was only at 60. A relaxed state can cope with 60 beats, a sudden activity needs to be higher.

Not what you're looking for?
